Spicy Thai Grilled Beef Salad - Yam Nuea Recipe

Hello Unregistered,

Spicy Thai salads ยำเนื้อ are one of Thailand's most popular dishes and available all over Thailand, from street stalls to restaurants in 5 star hotels.
Traditionally the beef would be grilled over a fire to a medium rare and then sliced ready for preparation, many places still do it this way, the reason for this is Thai beef is quite tough when well done, nowadays with beef being imported to Thailand and better farming techniques there is far more choices of cuts and quality.
For this dish any meat can be used including chicken, pork or shrimp just to name a few, a popular dish in Thailand's seaside resorts is Yam Talay, seafood salad, this can consist of chunks of fish, squid, prawns, crab or whatever may have been caught that day.
