Thai Fried Rice Recipe

Thai fried rice ข้าวผัด or Khao Pad is a quick and easy Thai dish to prepare and cook, it is made with Thai jasmine rice unlike Chinese stir fries which are made with regular long-grain rice.
Thai fried rice is the Thai equivalent of the British bubble and squeak, ie you can use leftovers, or just about any meat or vegetables thats in the fridge, the most common dishes have either pork, beef, shrimp, chicken or crab in them.

Thai Fried Rice Ingredients
* 300 grams jasmine rice (cooked)
* 300 grams chopped chicken
* 1 onion sliced
* 1
tomato sliced into wedges
* 1 clove of garlic mashed
* 1 egg
* 2 spring onions chopped or can be used as garnish
* 2 tablespoons of oil
* 2 tablespoons of fish sauce
* 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
* 1 teaspoon of sugar (to taste)
Making Thai Fried Rice
Heat the pan or wok hot (very hot), add oil, garlic, onions and chicken (or other meats or seafood) stir vigorously, when cooked move to the side of the pan and add egg, scramble the egg and move to one side, add fish sauce, soy sauce and the rest of the ingredients whilst stirring vigorously on high heat.
Your khao pad gai is now ready to be served.
Garnish
Garnish with Chinese parsley, lime wedges and slices of cucumber.
