As Betty has pointed out, I was critical of Haddin too - as I was Johnson.

I'm happy to eat my words and see them both stand out candidates for player of the series.

We can thank our lucky stars that Johnson was given the chance to reinvent himself through the injuries of our other bowlers.

Haddin has been outstanding. A far cry from the haddin of old who had a terrible habit of throwing his wicket away just when we needed him to play a mature innings. There has been talk that he will retire after this series, which I hope is not true as the team will look much better playing SA with him in it.
