    4 down, one to go.

Just shows how important attitude is to winning in this game. England have a more talented team, but their attitude stinks. I can see a clear out imminent if they don't sort their shit out.

    Disagree.
Before Trott broke you probably had the better batting lineup, even without him still perhaps on top, but this has been a bowlers series and the Aust bowlers have shown more skill, more persistance and infinitely more nous. Your bowling stocks have been aimless.

Ashes 2013: Piers Morgan stunt dangerous and outrageous

Hadley says Morgan could have died....

As a former fast bowler I was appalled and outraged at what I witnessed during the tea break on the second day of the fourth Ashes cricket test at the MCG when former Australian fast bowler Brett Lee faced off British media host Piers Morgan in the nets.
I am so incensed I felt I needed to make comment.
While there were media jibes and a build-up to this bowling and batting contest on Friday, I could not believe my eyes - Lee's brutal assault on Morgan was extremely dangerous and unnecessary.
Piers Morgan salutes the crowd after facing deliveries from former Australian cricketer Brett Lee in the nets during day two of the Fourth Ashes Test Match between Australia and England at Melbourne Cricket Ground on December 27.
Piers Morgan salutes the crowd after facing deliveries from former Australian cricketer Brett Lee in the nets during day two of the Fourth Ashes Test Match between Australia and England at Melbourne Cricket Ground on December 27.
It was clear that Morgan could not bat or defend himself against Lee's pace and intimidation - this was an unfair and one-sided contest that could have had severe consequences. Sadly, in the past batsmen have died from receiving blows to the body.

I only hope that Brett takes a few minutes to reflect on his stupidity - this was a brain explosion of the highest order - it was a deliberate attempt to hit, injure, hurt and maim his opponent that I viewed as a form of grievous bodily harm or a human assault that could have proved fatal. Morgan, aged 48, was hit four times on the body and if he was hit on the head or across the heart the result could have been devastating.

I am not sure whether this Aussie side is so good or the English side so bad.

One thing I am sure about is a few of the Aussies stood up when it really mattered at crucial times during the first 4 games and the only Pom to really perform when it mattered was Stokes.

Whilst the ashes victories are nice I can honestly say I have not really enjoyed watching the games apart from a few close sessions.

This English team is a good one but they left their form at home which is a real shame.

They have succeeded in making a side with an ordinary batting line up and just a solid bowling attack look like champions.

To be honest, I think we left it somewhere else before the home Ashes series. Only a couple of players stood up to be counted 6 months ago and this time no one did.

That's probably very close to the truth after the last Aussie disaster

There's a German saying: Hochmut kommt vor dem Fall, which roughly translates to arrogance coming before the fall

You have to take recent form and trends into account noony. Statistically, we will start the day tomorrow by frustrating you guys by adding more runs than you expected. I don't think Haddin will come out and play T20 style and get us in the range of your score, because doing so has jinxed our batsmen in the past, but I know that you and Bob and Betty are all thinking that is a possibility after reading this, so by reading this post, you have just jinxed your bowlers, who shall be delivering pies all morning.

Then when we bowl, you guys will get out cheaply again, and then a handful of our players will get second innings tons - all based on recent stats.

The only main differerence in this test is we will get all of our last innings runs batting last.

Have to say I'm delighted the way this prediction and reverse jinx post turned out

^Hadley is right. It was an assault. But, seems as Piers Morgan is an utter wanker, I'll let it pass this time.

I thought the Aussies were lucky throughout, especially in this test where we won more sessions...

^ At one stage of the coverage in game 3 during general banter, Nasser Hussein was the one in the booth that put his hand up (Botham was present) and was going to face Johnson in the nets to show how it should be done. I really wish that had happened, except with Botham behind the helmet. If that fat self opinionated fuck could back up his talk, he'd have hit every 90+ MPH ball for a 6 or a 4 at least. We'll never know of course...
