The pork sndwiches for work sound real boring, Nige.
Next time try making these babies, you may get more than a sniff kiss
http://greenlitebites.com/2013/03/easy-pulled-pork/
- About 2/3 of a cooked pork loin ~325g
- 1 8 oz can of tomato sauce (like Hunts)
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- Small sweet bell pepper, diced (I used an orange one)
- 2 cups baby spinach, chopped
And that's my favorite.....Originally Posted by nigelandjan

Put it under the broiler for 10 minutes, so you get some crispy bits along with the moist bits....
Nice, Dills...well intended undertaking.
But next time you might try allowing the braised and seasoned pork to speak for itself [of a pulled pork variety].
The version above is much too busy and overwhelmed by sauce and unnecessary items that masked the lovely flavour of slow-cooked swine.
Cheers!!

Did you notice its from leftovers? Who is to say it was not a braised butt or shoulder. I too prefer a pulled pork or carnitas and often cook it. But I have also been guilty of not using all the leftovers.Originally Posted by thaimeme
Been watching Jamie Oliver do the same thing the last few weeks.

^ that looks nice.
I know I shouldn't ask, but what's a 'sniff kiss'?

Doesn't your Thai wife do that ?
They come up close As if to kiss your cheek then they sniff you instead.
Fwiw, I just gave her a sniff and she moaned about my stubble, ungrateful get.

I've never done it successfully and would like to give it a try.
It's called Zig Zag eating.
the Americans do it. They cut their food up and then eat it with a fork. They cut up the food and then put the fork in the right hand to shovel the food in as quickly as possible
Whereas, us Europeans, have learned from an early age that if you don't sit up straight and use your knife and fork properly you get a clip around the ear.
And keep your elbows off the table.
My mother still does it, she knows just the spot on our backs to make us sit up straight!! We range in age from 50 to 65!!
