^What, with the "too bob bits" eating that shell fish![]()
I'm going down the superfood route. It won't last. I tend to go through a six-month stage every four years or so during which I'm acutely aware of how unhealthy I've become. Then I come to my senses and get back on the beer and kebabs. I'm looking forward to it.
I'm off work so I got to smoke some ribs and chicken...
Notice the smoke box to the right.....
The ribs were done one hour in oven on low heat, then on the grill for 2 hours, absorbing the smoke.
The chicken was on for about an 1-1/2 hours, being rotated between the hot side and the cold side.
Served with homemade cole slaw accompanied by rice. The wife made chocolate chip cookies for dessert.
Nice bit of chicken ruby on the go tonight
Some nice pears for afters

I love mussels, when you eat them using the shell of one to get the meat out of the other.... yummy. Big fat ones. with frites and a crisp white wine...
We really have to get Nige into the eating good, cheap European foods, which he shall find when he moves to Spain. Fresh products - every day in the market. No need for out of date stuff.
All fresh and healthy.
One time in Spain, i went to a place where they sundried their own home grown tomatoes and then put them in the jars with their own home grown olive oil.
When i got home, a few months later. Opening a jar of those sundried tomatoes!!! Absolutely wonderful. And i could see, in my mind, was the people that had given me that jar. Just a little farm off the beaten track.
We all get out of our comfort zone, food wise. But European foods, should never do that.
And another time in Spain, the first time i tasted Pato Negra ham. When the guy sliced it so thinly... the taste was out of this world. Try it.
Sounds good PC will be looking forward to the daily cycle to the local markets as we both love fresh salad type foods .
BTW the move aint 100% yet , we have to check things out in Nov when we go and I have to be 100% sure the missus is really happy with it all , otherwise it aint happening , but its looking good so far .
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs![]()

Not guilty as charged mate ^ don't eat stuff like that never have never will
Bought these guys a few days ago with no forward thought on what to do with them, they just looked way too good to leave on a refrigerated shelf at Foodland.
So the easiest way I could come up with on short notice was to saute them, bang them on top of a Rib Eye, and put some eggs on the plate.
They were really nice, just need to scour the internet for some inspiration on what to do with them next time...
^ Very well done, sir.
^^ That is a work of art![]()
^&^^ Thank you gents. I'd forgotten how nice fresh mushrooms taste, will find some ways to get them on the plate more often now. A mushroom and bacon burger comes to mind straight away.
