Actually, should be on the side [regarding the chix].
No respectable person slobbers gravy on baked-breaded chicken.

Actually, taking that pic made me feel hungry, so I grabbed another plate of it - I was too lazy to sort out the green stuff that goes with it; tastes great...

    Very nice gravy.

I bought some Kerrygold butter when i was home last month. Haven't tasted that in years, bliss!! On toast, on bread, tatties on anything.

Also some of those Richmond sausages (1 pound a pack in Morrisons!! it's a pity i have a tiny freezer), still have some in the freezer for the Rugby Opening tomorrow and some black pudding.

Wish i had took pics, Morrison's reduced a shed load of "1 foot long" pork sausages a few weeks back, (9p each)
I bought the lot for the dog, nothing wrong with them just cheaper than dog food.
I should have filmed a youtube video - "Dog eats 10ft of sausage, gone in 60 seconds"

My girlfriend and I came across a wonderful find of two pound bricks of Kerrygold Dubliner and Ballyshannon cheeses for $6.99 a pound at a local discount grocer. A true steal here in the states as many grocers sell it for more than double the price and you can usually only find it in eight ounce packages.

Had a great steak and mushroom pie last night from Staffords in Prasat. No pics, everyone knows what a pie looks like.

Do yourself a favour and read the ingredients used to make Richmond sausages. Any resemblance to pork would appear to be purely coincidental. Morrisons own sausages are easily the most disgusting on Earth as they have a gigantic fat content. Of the cheap ones, Aldi's pork are pretty good, and for the top end, ASDA have very nice thick pork sausages which are sold in big trays. Because they are more expensive they don't sell as many and I usually but mine at a discount when they are short dated. I end up get best sausages for less money than the cheaper ones.

Yes, we in Wales know our sausages ! My wife makes her own - Isaan style, both sweet and sour.

Come on - I can get pure pork sausages here. Nice and spicy and meaty.

I like to indulge in a bit of sawdust and odd parts of pigs in Richmond sausages twice a year!! They won't kill me - not yet anyway. I get the skinny ones, the fat ones tend to have gristle in them!!

And black pudding. I also have some haggis slices in the freezer, just have to make some neeps.

We can't eat healthy every day, that would be boring.

If it was pork gristle it would be OK, but it is turkey gristle.

So i spent - in English pounds. 2.50 pounds- for two meals.

    1. Chicken breasts
    2. Green Pepper
    3, onion
    plus other secret ingredients
    4. and i did buy it in Morrisons a couple of weeks back, a Blue Elephant Terryaki Sauce.

Plus the rice which is nothing.

All in all, two evenings worth of a meal for Five Swiss Francs. OK wine on top, but not much.

I still have saussies. black pudding and haggis in the freezer for later on in the week-

I am all for making meals out of nothing, but the protein whether it is cow, pig or fish should be good.

And don't all scream at the same time - Veal and horsemeat.

Horsemeat is much more tender and flavourful than beef. And nowadays veal does not come from screaming little calves like we saw on the telly 20 years ago.

Nigel, when you go to live in Spain you may have to eat horse or veal or squid. You can't eat Pato Negra for the rest of your life.

Perhaps you lot should try dumpster diving. Cheap meals I heard.

me? I'm gonna order a $100 steal tonight, cos I can.

Nigel eats chili out of a can!!

That i would draw the line at. Get the mince, tin of tomatoes, chili, garlic. beans etc.

I don't care if it cost 30p, or whatever, chili or bol has to be made from scratch. With lurve, and left overnight to infuse the spices.

You can make a big batch of bol and then add the chilis, beans to make Chili.

Half a kilo of meat, plus the rest. You have at least 4 meals for two out of it.

My sausages are defrosting, so is the black pud!! Just got to buy some eggs. HP sauce, toast. I'm going to have a breakfast for my tea!! With a mediocre cup of tea. The water is too hard here, makes shite tea.

    Do Fiji do the Haka?
