hope that carbury drop doesn't flash through the memory of england fans for years to come.

root's chance was pretty tough, and we all know monty couldn't catch a cold, but the carbury chance was a dolly, to england's best outfield catcher.

**** but clarke could punish them for that tomorrow.

    .
"Alternative" as in they mostly ramble on rubbish about things alternative to what is happening in the middle.

And yes, a lot of gay stuff, that is apparently supposed to be satirical humour. What would be funny is if Roy & HG broke their doors down, gave them all broken fukin arms, and took over their microphones.

If that Firefox thing works you can also listen to the ABC grandstand
    http://mobile.xxx.xxx.xx/news/sport/cricket/
    - which is also being streamed through the CA website I think.

I have taken my laptop to work today, so should be able to watch a few hours play

Watching yesterday's highlights I found pretty frustrating. Most of our batsmen threw their wickets away - and haddin was trying pretty hard to do the same before the close of play. smith's dismissal was just downright ugly. Interesting to note that most of our batting collapses happen in the second session of a test match. Think many of our batsmen just get stuck in ODI and T20 mode and just don't know how to play a long and patient innings - that's the way England became such a strong team.

Getting Clarke will be key. The game is still balanced, I'd hardly call losing 5 wickets on that pitch Australia's day.......

Clarke averages over 100 at Adelaide with 5 hundreds, only The Don averages more there.

Warner was a key wicket yesterday, if shit for brains had stayed they'd have been 350+ by the end of the day but his shot was abysmal and he deservedly got out to it. 270 in a day on that pitch, boring boring Australia.

I think England bowled well yesterday and to contain Australia.

Good controlled captaincy by Cook not negative batting from Australia.

Don't forget England put down 3 chances.

Clarke hundred, still on for a third successive Adelaide double.

England are now being batted out of the game.

Once they get in a few early wickets will see them under tremendous pressure.

Only one winner of this game now, England playing for a draw already.

Thank God the first session is over, been a shocker for England despite having a couple of chances.

Yesterday's dropped catches have really cost England a chance in this game.

Why bother, I'd grind and grind, send them in tomorrow just before lunch looking down the barrel at 650.....

The way to win this is to break Englands spirit, cos we have the better batsmen.....

I was thinking Oz would be out, but the way it's going you may be right.
The spinners are being carted and the others seem to have nothing to offer..
Scoring at will at the moment.

Swann to Johnson, OUT, and there's another wicket! Johnson has misjudged Graeme Swann's flight, driving uppishly and trying to clear mid-on but it has provided Stuart Broad with one of the simpler catches he will take. Might have been a bit of over-spin from Swann too, well bowled
    MG Johnson c Broad b Swann 5 (12m 13b 1x4 0x6) SR: 38.46

    bugger.

Too much too early for MJ, but he may have been told to have a go.

Well, I waaaas going to say that as long as Clarke is still there and somebody in the tail stands up there is no reason why 400+ was still not possible.

My posts have been jinxing the pommie batsmen too, so I will be sure to start making a few prediction posts once we have finished batting.
