Will Mendip be in Taunton tonight?
Lancs Surrey would seem to be the game to watch then.
We collapsed last night once we lost Buttler and Croft. Surrey posted a decent total, but we had pegged them back towards the end of their innings and we started off well. I was sat talking to the lads next to me about tickets for final day one minute before turning and saying 5 minutes later "we're in trouble here."
Anyway, it was a lovely day for it even if it wasn't to be a day out this season for the final.
Six fucking quid!
Enough of that for your pre match lubrication: Off to Wetherspoons it was!
8 pounds 28 for 2. That's more like it!
And we'll share a big massive quadruple cheese and bacon burger and a drink too for 13 quid!
Sufficiently lubricated and fed, so take me to the 2nd OT!

Yeah, it's a decent day out. I'm hoping to get to a County Championship game before I fuck off again next month, but the calendar is packed with one dayers in August, so the chances are minimal.
We've got Cy's lot in a couple of weeks, which I would have gone to for a day, but I'm away that week.
Surrey won by just 13 runs.
Hampshire and Somerset both won by 5 wickets.
Finals Day is 15th July at Edgbaston, starting at 1100hrs. There will be 2 semi-finals followed by the finals. That's a lot of cricket.
Waiting for the draw now to see who Essex have to thrash in the semis.(Essex might be the weakest team amongst those four, but anything can happen on the day.)
We barely scored a boundary towards the end and I think we only managed a paltry 5 or 6 off the final over (Croft went with 2 left when we needed 29). Shame really cos we were doing very well and I couldn't see us losing it at one point. I don't think anyone around me could either.
Where else is your Mrs going to sanction you taking the kids out on the piss
Warwickshire beat Kent by an innings and 46 runs.
Second in Division 1, 13 points behind Surrey.
Lancashire languish 29 points behind in sixth.
So today in my drunkeness and misunderstood guilty conscience of the boy having summer holiday, I did some of the lawn so we would be able to have a game of Crocket, in which I'm superiour and a non believer in letting kids win cause they are kids.
Oh yes
As an 'aber dabei'
In 1996 I bought mysef a complete Cricket set( balls protectors and all) in India, and I thought that today(27 years later) would be a nice day to put it into play.
Boy started the batting (tennis ball) and in two overs I had the little fucker out twice.
I took the bat and after explaining the "wide and no ball thinghy" to him he bowled me !!!!!
I am now considering doing a concrete pitch in the garden.
Can't do one of thum graasy things.
Yes; I hate him
Woudn't you ?
Yesterday was Finals Day in the T20 Blast. Two semis and the final, back to back at Edgbaston.
First match was my team, Essex, who asked Hampshire to bat. They hit a very respectable 170. There was some rain during the Essex innings and the delay meant a revised DLS target. Essex need 13 off the last over and hit 6,1,6 to make it into the finals.
In the next match, Somerset hit only 147 but Surrey were all out for just 118.
The final was another low scoring match. Somerset hit only 145, then dismissed Essex for a meagre 131.
Well done Somerset. (Through gritted teeth.)
I tried, I really did.
But once Duckworth & Lewis got involved I checked out.
Not one northern team in finals day and the 3rd year in succession that the trophy has gone to the south.
Cheer up Norveners - Ashes cricket will be back in, about 2035 innit.
