    I reckon were gonna need a separate thread just for spuds? After tosltis effort, Spuds aren't boring. Come on you fookers show us what you can do with the humble spud? There must be a million things you can do with them. Besides jamming one up geff or strollers bum. But let's not go there eh

    Yes , they look fantastic the steamer must be the way forward .
    The steamer means that you get relatively dry potatoes which is what you need for roasting. The roughening up gives more area for the fat/oil to crisp up, making for a better roastie.

    In simple Jeff's defense (yet again) I have developed a taste for somtam...
    I like it chilled, slightly sweet... others will have different preferences...

    *A bit like the multitude of sexual preferences on this board...

    Anyway, back to somtam... I don't mean that vulgar, putrid 10 baht cack, that looks it came out the wrong end of a dying rat...

    Nay, I mean nice clean, fresh, lightly spiced... of course there are a billion different somtam varieties..

    I must admit, I'm trying to lose a few kgs, but I fancy a fry up now (one cooked properly though... ) I know that Irish pub on Suk is not liked, and it has very shady owners, but I have had a few bloody good and large fry ups in there over the years. Also, the pub at Asok, The Black Swan, has great food - is it still going?
