^ Nothing wrong with chips in gravy, but having said that the chip on the top left quadrant is clearly burnt and ruins the whole dish.

^ It might be one of charleyboy's talons that has fell off during the cooking process?

^^ Nothing wrong with that chip, it's the right side of burnt. They are actually just about the finest chips I have ever seen; I'm drooling looking at that pic...

Great chips can be attained depending on the oil used.
Cooking oils that have a higher burning point usually retain a better result/product.

Crisp exterior and almost creamy interior!!!!

...and then there are the potatoes. Many better varieties than the run-of-the-mill Russet that most accept through conditioning. But that's another chapter.

    See that?

That my friends is a fresh warm sourdough wot I made just now in my cast iron pot on a gas burner. Never made a sourdough before, it was brilliant, slightly crunchy, chewy crust, thick strong bread.

    With some tasty cheese.

    And beer.

    While the footy is on.

This need for tinned baked beans - especially for breakfast.

    Culturally conditioned, I reckon.

    Who says they were tinned?
Beans in a tomato sauce is hardly rocket science, well within the capabilities of Mc99's Food Science Lab.
Nor is their eating any more conditioned, abhorrent, or unhealthy than a thai eating that fucking fermented fish shit known as pla ra. Quite a bit less so on all counts I think.
And, I had them for DINNER!

300 grams? Judging by the size of the peas and cherry tomatos, the steak must have the density of lead
