Yeah... the British humour is lost I guess... I call them 'Burritos' in exclamation marks because they look like Burritos from the outside and it makes it more exotic for the daughter.
But lets be frank here, I'm making wraps filled with Spaghetti Bolognese sauce (non-traditional recipe) topped with melted Cheddar cheese... no Parmesan!
^ I absolutely love that chilli crab and it was always on my list whenever visiting Singapore... but these days, much as I love it, I just find it such hard work to eat. Now I just want a meal on my plate that I don't have to work for.
But it does look fantastic and brings back some fond memories.
Another idiot who has never been to America. I hated those shit sitcoms growing up and never watched them, lots of Americans are like me. You Brits seem to all cling on to the same shit without much individualism. Clinging onto a dead sense of nationalism like a drying sponge. Soon you will fall into the abyss. It is no surprise that you are a moron who supports Bojo. You would love the American trailer parks of the southern shithole states. The crap you eat is right at home down there.

The interesting thing is, you guys aren't that funny. You toss out a one liner and when people don't laugh you guys get upset.
But I get it, what you find funny, we just don't. I have a few British colleagues. They struggle to fit in at work. At dinner parties they try and crack a joke and nobody laughs.
Of course this is a forum and it's not always easy to get the jest of a joke or innuendo in text. Sometimes you just have to be there.![]()
^^ What's the weather like down there mate... you're selling it to me!
Should see the crap I eat here!![]()
Man DW. Been years since I have had that. Looks delish. I have had a dish like that here with big tiger prawns. Was excellent.
Green owed
I used to work with Americans, Canadians, Irish and Italians, and the American lad just never ever got the humour. It was painful at times for him, like a fish out of water.
I do think it depends on where you're from in the US too (I always find it really easy to click with people from New York), but I think many of us often find it quite difficult to find any kind of connection with people from the States in the real world. I think we are just quite different people in our attitudes, interests and humour.
Of course, just like our food, British humour is the best in the world, so we can't expect everyone to meet our lofty standards.

burp.
Chilli crab for the missus and I, honey crab for the kids. As Mendy says it’s a bit of work, but that’s part of the fun. All four of us got in, got messy and enjoyed that crab. possibly the first time I didn’t have to help the kids, which was nice. Always buy live crabs, I made the mistake one of ordering fresh. Different taste. I realised afterwards that fresh meant freshly killed, have today or maybe yesterday. And the flesh is just different.
We had rice, crabs and some vegetables. That was pretty much it. Didn’t need to order anything else. Although I know this place does good frog as well.
Washed down with some Tigers. Being a Chinese restaurant they use these silly baby glasses to drink that the staff literally have to refill every two minutes.
To further this Hal, I think it also depends on the person from each of those nationalities. I have met some extremely funny people all over the world and some of the driest you can ever be around. A lot of that is their personality make up. Some folks are just funny and others are not. I have a German buddy and we are both complete smart asses around each other and we laugh constantly. I have a US friend that is as dry as a bottle of Vermouth. It is tough to be around him long. So I do not really think its a nationality thing moreover the individual but our upbringings and what we find funny or humorous have an impact on it.
Stumps those ribs look epic, awesome technique as well.
Why bother to debate, just have both everytime! I really like getting chow pad gai and then drizzling panang sauce or green sauce over it - add a frozen glass full of your favourite brew and ee bah gum lad!
Nice sausage stew as well, an old favourite of my grandmothers.
That bacon meatloaf looked nice as well as do all these dishes. Everyone is definitely eating well 55555
