Too my preferred specifications. Light dusting of crumble for me especially when you do not need it to warm your cockles. Only managed half of it though. I put this down to being too lazy to go and buy some cream / icecream lol

    Top man !!!

Well done mate , you can't beat a bit of the old home made ,, I have to hand it to you your crumble looks a winner , I can make most things but crumble had me beat , its like bastard lead after I have finished with it ,, bit too ham fisted .

I dunno about ice cream on it I love some nice thin sweet custard on mine with a couple of shots of vanilla in it .

I made a rather nice almond slice last weekend will thread it up this weekend

Keep the cooking pics coming !
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs

There are no decent doners in Bangkok. All they have are those daft sooovlaki things which are rubbish, made of rancid chicken or rotten beef.

You will of course have read my awesome thread on the Kitchen forum

    https://teakdoor.com/the-kitchen/1141...ty-donner.html

I now have a rottiserie oven thing and in the near future when I can be arsed, will be trying it again.... I've got the mix right now, but the cooking method has been cocking it up a tad as I could not cut the eat thin enough. The chilli sauce is spot on now.

^ Yep I looked through that thread before.

I have found a few recipes online to replicate a doner and I will be giving it a go one day soon.

May I ask where you got the lamb? I think I can recall it frozen in Tops/Villa.

Where ever I see it cheap frozen basically. I have done it with a variety; legs of lamb from my Makro; bunters, you names it if I see it i buy it andgive it a go. Expensive hobby though especially when it goes wrong.

I have one of those hidden away upstairs. Cost around 5k on sale in Central a few xmases ago. Never used the rottiserie though. Might dig it out, set it up and give something ago in it.

I've no idea how or what to rottiserie though. The small chicken ones they in those Gai Yang stands look okay.

Perhaps I'll give one a go over the next few days. Watch this space.

You are quite right there Steve, i t was marked up as small doner kebab and chips on the board. The chips at the bottom were shit too. Cheeky fukkers even had the nerve to ask for 10p for a smattering of ketchup on my youngest sons chips too from their big squeezy bottle, which was probably some generic shit and not heinz, even though id spent around 20 quid.
I wont be back there again

Stand it up on it's side and with a bit of imagination you have yourself a kebab making machine

I went the German Market in Brum last night, the place is run by Poles not Germans now. I couldnt find a currywurst anywhere. A proper load of miserable cnuts those Poles are too. After conceding that we werent gonna get a currywurst , me and my son walked to one counter and ordered 2 bratwursts, only to be scowled at by some young Polish girl and rudely told to "come around this side."
You would have to have beenthere and saw her face to understand that.
Anyhow, i walked around the counter and told her to shove her bratwurst and went and ordered 2 cumberland hotdogs from a black guy and indian woman in a caravan opposite. Proper Brits and with Brummy accents :-)

Having to leave a deposit for the drinking glass or cup.

Far better than Thailand where you don't pay anything until you're finished and about to leave eh.

Towers of Bier Weizen in Tawang Daeng have never looked better.

They give you a token with the mug too, so if you lose either, or find some other poor fukkers forgotten about empty glass, you aint gettin no deposit back.
Also stops you nipping into Poundland and making a killing :-)

Pork chops from the local farm shop.. really tasty, tender and not full off the nasty crap they add in supermarkets. Mash potato, white cabbage, apple sauce and gravy. Sometimes you just need a bigger plate

Did anyone see Raymond Blanc cook a goose for christmas on the telly?
Looked damn good I tell you. Think it could well be on the menu instead of turkey this year.

Well I decided to give it a go, and cooked a duck on it tonight. Put some spuds in the tray below for some disgustingly beautiful roast spuds as well. Never remember to take a pic because I was too busy eating but it worked very well indeed.

Dillinger - Yow a Yam Yam then? Loved the gluwein there and the curry wurst; just the ticket before a night in the lap dance clubs (which are shit). tara-a-bit.
