Taking a break from all the war mongering and name calling.

Knocked up a Chinese Special House (no racial epiphets here Katie) curry for lunch today. I cheated and bought in the curry powder, rough cut 2 large white onions, 2 ribeye steaks, pork tenderloin and velveted chicken thigh. I will add halved closed cup mushrooms, prawns and peas 5 mins before serving. There is over 2.5 Kgs in all so even after the family have eaten there will be some for tomorrow and to freeze.

I’m going to give up lunch for a while. The heat kills my appetite. The closest AC is at a 7/11 which is 45 minutes away on my unreliable 30 year old motorbike. I don’t want to spend the entire afternoon anyway standing around in a 7/11. That would be weird.
    pues, estamos aqui

Not a good idea with these walls and a 30cm gap between wall and ceiling.

Since you ask, no, I have never had a dish with that collection of ingredients.

Sorry, it doesn't appeal. Like I have never wanted 'Surf & Turf'. It has always seemed a way to turn two perfectly edible meals into one mess.

    Lunch ... the second course-bm-jpg

Big Mac with the middle bun removed and gunk scraped back onto the burger. That much stodgy carbs really isn't needed by a human being.

And only Mao could use a photo of his Big Mac lunch as an opportunity to tell us all how important healthy eating is.

A surprisingly tasty bowl of pho bo yesterday and some fried Korean mandu (3 kimchi and 3 beef).

My soup wasn't so great, but it's Friday, so let's focus on the positives.

Just over 20 Euros for that little lot plus a coke to share, so there's another one.
    Wow.

    Just.

    Wow.

Is 20 yoyos good or bad for a bowl of soup and 6 small fried dumplings in Latvalania or wherever?

23 Euros for two beef soups, 6 fried dumplings and a coke yai is indeed exceptional value in the civilised world.

And no need to stop off for a Big Mac on the way home either!

I should confess that I've been dreaming this week of a burger like yours above, but I've mostly been limited to my bed since last Saturday evening. Yesterday was the first day I'd been out and there was no way my guts would have been able to handle that.

Tomorrow I won't be making that mistake though.

There's a craft burger place not too far away and a smashed burger place the other direction, so I foresee food porn ahoy for Topper!
