^ Going there next week. The 4 or so hours in Bkk are 4 or so hours too much.
Might hook up for lunch with tomcat if I've the time.
Sorry. Maybe meeting armstrong for a toastie + pot noodle combo.![]()
leek, onion, potato with cheese sauce, chicken & ham pie, saurkraut, peas, carrots and brocolli

A lunch by the sea at Khao Khad, Cape Panwa today. A good catch up with our Swedish friend who is here for a month, staying very close to this beach bar.

Today was the first day I combined tempura shrimp and veg with wasabi as the sushi eater wasn't eating/using it.
It most certainly won't be the last.

Lunch with long time friends of ours, in their 80's now and the husband has Parkinsons so doesn't get out so much these days. Took them to a place we hadn't been to for a few years, and whilst not notable for the food, the view is excellet. Struck lucky, the food was actually pretty good. Standard bottled beers, but did have one draught, a Thai version of a wheat beer which was quite passable.
Some interesting art in the gents toilet.

Looks great.
Cans of that 'Siam Weizen' are widely available in 7-11s.
I believe it's 4 or 4.5% which puts me off, as I like a 5% minimum.
I can highly recommend the cans of Tawandang Weizen, I'm sure you know all about Tawandang after decades here, they started selling their Weizen, IPA and Rose beers in cans a few short years ago. Not available in 7-11s (here at least). Well worth picking up a few if you come across them.
Your advice on beer seems to be worth almost as much as your usufruct tips.

Oh CHEERS up ya Negative-Nelly.![]()
Some like it hot.
Pad prik gaeng shrimp and pork combo.
Thai food, when made at home using clean, fresh ingredients, really can be delish.
I would never eat that in a Thai resto unless it had doors and windows at the very least.![]()
^ My favourite (but usually with either pork or shrimp).
And I'll happily eat it from any khao gaeng roadside cart.
But the best place that ever did it was my mother and daughter next door neighbours, who obviously did have windows and doors.

But can Mao go three days without macca's?
