Don't think I actually made a post about the prep. A couple of weeks ago, I posted having one of the batch from the freezer with some focaccia. Loads of recipes out there for French Onion Soup, and I have to say, pairing with the cheesy croutons is the way to go. This was the previous post photo:

    Fantastic.

In Korea they do a whole grilled mackerel with assorted sides, rice and miso soup (godeungeo) and it was my Thursday must do each week.

Reminder to self: eat more oily fish.

The only downside is having to air the house out after.

    Skewers look great, really do.

    ^^^

Dumplings look fine, would have been good to see what else was in the casserole.

Cheers, I'll probably do a curry one next.

Normal curry spices cooked in oil, some coconut milk added. Then cooled to room temp and used as the marinade/baste.

    Dunch.

Presuming that's what a snack between lunch and dinner is.

A nice wee portion of fried stodge.

2 wee spuds set to parboil.

    2 gym sets.

    remove and cool.

    2 more gym sets.

Give em's bit of a Vinnie Jones (rough em up a bit)

    Heat the deep fat fryer.

    1 more set.

Do what every person ever has warned not to do.

Place in deep fat fryer at 3000c and leave them cooking unattended in the kitchen for 5 minutes.

    1 more set.

Return. Remove. Salt. De-oil with bogroll. Plate.

Served with creamy cool mayo, 80% fat, thanks Looper and ring-burning nam jim from a bottle. Possibly out of date.

    Delisherous.

Wife and housekeeper went to Ayuthaya to make merit. Free house, day off, and I can cook a steak sandwich with no complaining as they dont eat beef. So a nice one was done up. Some sautéed red onions and shrooms as well.
