Fortunately the solutions are simple and easily achieved.

First of all one needs to gain a moderate command of the local language.
This way you have the power to communicate with people who know where you are and can help you immensely.

Secondly, most places have maps these days and if you can't read the local script hunt around and you'll find maps in English.
The internet is a fabulous source for stuff like this.

Thirdly, as I know your American and therefore, wealthy beyond my dreams and fascinated by technology. You will be totally rapt in the new hand held 'GPS' units. Satellite technology that comes with loadable maps of many places. I suggest you get one just to show the guys at the pub. Providing you can find you're way there!

Good luck Snaff, it's always a pleasure mate!

    Dear pOOlie

I can't seem to convince many men that oral sex is considerate and pleasant. It is not that I want them to do it to me, but just as a conversation icebreaker

why are men so reluctant, especially as most Thai women are nice and clean.

    yours despondent
    is cute enough?

    reluctant!

I can only hazard a guess that you're speaking with Americans!
There was a yank once on Bangkoktonite who was so afraid of STDs that he always wore two condoms for sex, never had a bj without a condom and never, ever, went down on a Thai girl!! WTF

The real reason is prolly wives!
I always have a nibble during sex, but I'm a little reckless, so a lot of guys do read too many stories about diseases and are worried what will happen when they get home and there's a massive pus ridden sore on their nob or blisters all over their lips!

I once had a girl who I couldn't convince that oral sex was was considerate and pleasant (I suppose I should have brought out some money!)
And I agree, in all my experience Thai women are very clean and very nice!!!

If you really want to get the 'labial lubrication' tell them you've just had the barbers in downstairs.
    That is simply irresistable!

I would persist in using it as an ice-breaker though, direct and to the point?
    Gotta be good!

Oral sex as a conversation icebreaker, what a nice idea.

Please forgive for my generalisation of the American male AO.

Now here is a question for you...

Whilst I was in the UK I had a lot of male friends that I basically spent most my time with and none of them told me that they had feelings for me at any time.

Then I move over to Thailand and BOOM some of my male friends tell me they had feelings for me all along!

I mean, why did none of them ever admit to it? Well I'm in Thailand now and I'm not going back (at least for a long time) so their problem not mine.
    Welcome to the jungle!

I have the same problem as you. When I was in the University. I spent my whole time with my male friends, noone had feelings for me either.

Hey, where I live is about 20 km from Pattaya. PM me anytime then we can have a drink and make a discussion about this together.

    Where are you?
That would help me choose a place.

I always recommend a light lunch so why not try a salad.
Try and keep away from rice (ha!) and maybe if you need meat eat some grilled fish. The one caked in salt would be good.

Aim for only two bottles of beer for lunch because whoknows what the evening has in store and you don't want to have a head start on the otters. (unlike Wally!)

    Finish with some fresh papaya.

Pick up from a take away and eat in a quiet place where you can observe people without being interrupted.

    It's a problem I call 'super-female intimidation syndrome'!
It pops up as a theme in a few cheesy hollywood movies from time to time and it's all about this totally unreal chick who exudes confidence by the bucket.
Imagine Angeline Jolie in the Laura Croft movies. She's intelligent, articulate, confident, dangerous, heroic and ultra sexy as well.
    In a way that's you.
All the guys around you feel that they don't reach your mark and, as much as they want to do it, they feel if they failed to be absolutely perfect at bonking, you would verbally rip out their testicles.

Being super cool has it's downsides I guess but be warned, there won't be a shortage of 'forward' fellows around here.

Hello young Wally, nice to hear from you!

Now Wal, that's a damn good question you posted today and I think you and otter posters can actually go a long way to finding the answer you seek if you step back and have a little think about it for a while.

What does Santa represent to society and in particular, TeakDoor society?

A loveable old chap who brings cheer and happiness into our lives and those of our children?

    Be buggered, this is TeakDoor!
Drunks, sexpats and genuine weirdos populate these pages.
No room for a nice man like CMN (did you see the wedding pics?)
No we need an outstanding example of what TeakDoor is really about and who better to represent us than....................................YOU!

Wally's a bit younger than that with less hair but I suppose if you asked "Is this what Wally would look like in 22 years wearing a wig?" we'd have to say
    "Yup!"

    dear pooly.

I can't stop myself from posting in big fonts and in big colours. I'm concerned that this is a bit anti social, and being the sort of person that craves acceptance I would rather not offend anyone. What can I do. thanking you kindly CMN
