Pushed the boat out with a pro-chef soy-honey-garlic-ginger-pepper marinade overnight soak

For a visit from a lovely lady from the mountainous backwaters of Taiwan

She was happy to stick her oar in and get busy on the barbie

And we ended up with a nicely sizzled honey glaze and a soft fire-baked sweet potato

She pulled out a winner for dessert with a Taiwanese Taro Ice cream roll which she had brought straight from the specialty Asian bakery packed in ice and a cooler bag

I set it off with some Chinese loose leaf oolong tea which met with her critical approval

Nice mug.

Miss Taiwan has outdone herself with that log!

Looks lovely.


While not overly suspicious in nature, and generally impressed with the amazing development of Chinese engineering, I'm not fully convinced that that nightlight candle can boil the tea in that ceramic teapot from such a position.

^The candle was struggling just to stay alight in the late afternoon breeze!

That's definitely not a euphemism.

Warming myself up after a chilly day in Bangkok.

Bread looks decent though

These Xmas Venison steaks were very lean and delicious, dryair fried with Cayenne pepper seasoning..

Air fyer? 20 minutes should do it

dont cheap out on the butter to save the price of a can of leo. its soup man breads gotta be buttered. every coont knows that

Yup I know the one, hes good. Central Gourmet Market also makes some pretty fine baguettes and bakery.
