Pushed the boat out with a pro-chef soy-honey-garlic-ginger-pepper marinade overnight soak

For a visit from a lovely lady from the mountainous backwaters of Taiwan

    Dinner-20241222_181144-jpg

She was happy to stick her oar in and get busy on the barbie

    Dinner-20241222_181940c-jpg

And we ended up with a nicely sizzled honey glaze and a soft fire-baked sweet potato

    Dinner-20241222_182437-jpg

She pulled out a winner for dessert with a Taiwanese Taro Ice cream roll which she had brought straight from the specialty Asian bakery packed in ice and a cooler bag

    Dinner-20241222_190041-jpg

I set it off with some Chinese loose leaf oolong tea which met with her critical approval

    Looks lovely.

While not overly suspicious in nature, and generally impressed with the amazing development of Chinese engineering, I'm not fully convinced that that nightlight candle can boil the tea in that ceramic teapot from such a position.

You really are a strange cat. You are in Thailand and want to eat a bowl of tomato soup by the looks of things with bread
You didn't even butter the bread
Wtf. At least it's a step up from the pot noodles. If it's indeed nippy in bangkok? Surely a tom.yung goong could of been obtained? Or the cream of some young guy. Oh fuck I crack myself up. Lolz

Seems pointless to butter it as it's getting dipped anyway.
