^I think the pork chop was probably just like any other pork chop we've ever seen, till it was exposed to 200c direct heat for 7+ hours. Pure speculation of course, having never actually seen a piece of meat that looked like that before.
He definitely crucified it, but it looks like a blind & drunk butcher hate chopped at a hunk of pork with an old mattock.
Chitty has been quiet today, I noticed.![]()
I had steak for dinner. Made a Chimichurri sauce that went down a treat!

Damn nice Porter house DW. Perfectly cooked.
RD. I gotta agree 1st pic with the ponds of liquid were a bit of interest, plated it looks OK.
We'll have to rename this the steak thread at this rate!
I found this little 2 inch thick treasure at the local supermarket.
Thanks for the reminder

This would normally call for a BBQ and a piss up!
My lower steak is coming in at 1.48bht/g, the top one at 0.93bht/g
HW both at 1.42bht/g.
How about your's, Willy?
My money's on the lower one, which is getting cooked in garlic butter and onions later. Other one tomorrow, maybe for brunch. I've been hitting the gym after the morning school run this week and generally don't eat til noon.
Lang may yer lum reek...
Maybe I'll do the pineapple test tomorrow for the cheaper one. It may tenderise like a champ, but I doubt I'll like the sweetness it's sure to bring.
Just looking at yours DD, my money would be on the bottom one being a better steak. But the true colour of meat like this never shows the reality in the pics we take for whatever reasons, more so with a layer of cling-wrap between the lens and the meat.
Yeah I know what you mean. It's been mentioned in a few picture threads before that our pictures seem to lose a bit of colour richness when posting. I've noticed this too.
Thread: Dinner
That'll be nice, just cook it extra well done
Bloody trolls!
