^ Think Jeff's answer will go something like this...

Cherry Bakewell is farang food produced for the capitalist masses who support the Western ideology of bowing to the corporate pigs who fuel unwanted consumerism through the perspective of wants and needs.

I'm more than fine with my tub tim grob.
    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

Culturally induced [or not] bakewell superiority viewed from corporate-controlled perspectives.

    Anyway, back on track.

Made a veggie soup yesterday and it was quite pleasant.

Pureed it today and it was in a different league.

Method: throw what you can find in the fridge/on offer at the supermercado into a pan with stock and then hope for the best.

    Very good.

Just needs some buttered brown soda bread along side it and you could be my mother.

Made refried black beans this morning. Serving them with chicken fajitas on soft flour tortillas. Squeeze of lime, cilantro and some pickled jalapeno to top them off.

^Foodland have Buttermilk. Not sure if imported or local or good or bad, but it's always there.

Went to Macro this AM and saw a lovely piece of Barramundi (aka Sea Perch here) so for a late lunch / early dinner, that was that.

The Missus really liked hers, but served on rice with some sauce on the side that would strip rust off a tin shed

I recall seeing it there in the past but I live in Surin now. I think you can make it with sour cream, have to check into that.

The fish looks good. Is it a strong flavored fish?

That's where opinions will differ with our individual tastes. To me it's not strong, but to others it is.

Where might you secure reasonable quality corn tortillas in Surin?

Put an empty plate on the other side of the table so it didn't look like I was eating alone.
