I can safely say I'm the only one here eating proper soup at the moment.

    Today was minestrone.

Tonight's dinner - a decent pork chop for once, slow cooked in the oven.

Looks much better than Monkeyboys pelvic cross section the other night.

Come leftovers to use up for Breea, Brinner or Brupper?

Haricot, pinto and Kidney beans stewing along side chilli, tomatoes and capsicum .

Mince steak 5% fat Sautéed with onion garlic.
Heaps of black pepper, paprika and extra chilli powder ..

    Dinner-20231026_170010-jpg

Then all into the Crackpot for a gentle stewing..

    Dinner-20231026_171331-jpg
Served in a wrap or on its own in a bowl or onto cheesy nachos with a home made Guacamole..
    Dinner-20231026_213530-jpg

On a par with the Great British Curry, pompadoms and dips.

ATM I'm cooking this more than curry so kudos to our American cousins across the pond. Oh and those pesky banditos

Mate. We're in total agreement. I've discovered that lamb mince or beef fried up with a few veggies that they usually reject with a taco mix served on burrito wraps a bunch of cheese and happy kids

    ^ Hahahaha

Anyway back to the real world

    Ready for the grill

    Quick proper sear

Dinner as served. I added a green pesto sauce to the steak this time. The tater has butter, sour cream and bacon bits. shrooms sautéed in olive oil and Italians seasonings.

only one of those is a soup spoon.

^^ To be honest mate, I could say that I have 'spooned' you, but that would be weird.

And no offense, but not somewhere I want to go.

Anyway, tonight, and no spoons involved, was Mediterranean style lamb shank served on a bed of mashed potato with seasonal veg.

    No spoons required.

    I concur

This "SPOON OFF" Is still on!

Not to be outdone on the spoon front I present to you my antique silver spoon!

    For extra points..

1, what is it used for?
    2, What is its value?

Went to an Italian for a change for dinner.

    The early bird menu..

    The Calamari starter..

    Dinner-20231006_173733-jpg

    The Stroganoff..

    Dinner-20231006_175522-jpg

    The pizza..

    Dinner-20231006_175529-jpg

Followed by fresh coffee and a liqueur..

    Dinner-20231006_183059-jpg

Just as we were leaving a five foot waiter turned up late in his fiat 126 muttering something about how he'll have Ferrari when he grows up and this herbal tea wont drink itself..

    Dinner-20231006_182851-jpg

Just on cue a rather nicely two tone wrapped one pulled out in front of us..
