    home made ?

You only need a few apples from next doors overhanging branch, half a cup of sugar and some tap water

I can go to the end of my road here, and get drinkable water. From a running water fountain fresh and clean. I drink it, a lovely little toddler sat under it during the heat wave in the summer. Bowls are put out for dogs.

I can also just turn on the tap. But sitting and observing how people use it is wonderful. On a hot sultry night.

Never would i buy water if i didn't have to.

Tonight, a couple of slices of haggis and mash.

Moving house on Monday, got to empty the freezer. Tomorrow, slices of black pudding!!

I was hoping to keep them another couple of weeks.

I find buying posh water abhorrent- when the money you spend on it could pay for a tap in some african country. Drink tap water. If you get a sore tummy, live with it. They live with less.

My father worked on sorting out the Worlds Water for most of his life... I know a bit about it.

Depends how far you are moving PC , we have moved several times with the freezer full , as long as you don't open it should be fine for a good few hours

I shall have a bit of fish and a couple of sausages. and chicken wings. I shall wrap them up in tinfoil.

The distance is about 20 minutes by car. They should survive!! Not like 10 hours in a plane!!

They are being removed from one freezer to another. In fact, due to my sell by date and freezing phobia. I may just dump them and buy new. I think the chicken has been in there for about a year. Yuck. I found it, abandoned, right at the back.

So the total loss in frozen foods from my freezer - about two pounds.

Tonight haggis, tomorrow black pudding. Those are the ones that i brought back from home. Two months ago, So no way in the bin. I was really expecting to find some tattie bread in there as well. but sadly, must have eaten it!!

I would rather buy fresh or frozen foods to my new abode. Than take old. New beginnings.

I think I just inadvertently prepared an all American breakfast for my supper tonight?

Steak, eggs and, ahem, home fries...

Freezer emptied. Just enough defrosted for tonight and tomorrow.

They say moving house, divorce and a death in the family are the most stressfull things that people go through.

The bin bags price could be added to that!! 10 60 kilo ones cost me more that that horrible chicken did!! But they are handy, dump everything in them - and sort it out when you get there. Monday afternoon.

The good thing about my new place - there is an IrishEnglish Pub next door. Shall be great to watch the rugby final match in.

If i can find it, in a bin bag, I shall wear my Scotland shirt.

    Back to food.

My haggis and champ last night was wonderful!!

Probably not too fresh - store purchase encased in plastic.

    Lovely.
Indeed. What they do when the meat hits the use by date... they take it back, trim off all the really smelly meat, pack it up again with a new use by date on it, and send it back out again. They do this with a lot of things, including veg. Iceberg lettuces are a good example, when they get manky, back to a chop shop, and in a bag there are 2 weirdly small icebergs a minute later winging their way out to the express stores with a new date on them.

Took a gamble at Wetherspoons and went for the vegetarian wellington roast.

Hands down the best thing I've ever eaten in there.

    Really tasty.

A bit gay in all fairness, Slap.

I'm in Scotland right now, so tonight I opted for the 'Chieftain Haggis - enough to feed the whole Clan!'

My mate hinted that it looked good and I told him to fuck right off.
