Just made an apple + cinnamon cake for after dinner today , using up some of the many apples I have on my tree in the garden .

Here we go ready for the oven 50 mins at 170 deg .

Will utilise the oven at the same time to cook 3 large baked potatoes 1 for tonights dinner and 2 ready for a quick blast in the microwave for dinners in the week after work .

No no its greaseproof paper to stop it sticking to the tin

I also placed a bit on the top during the last 10 mins of cooking to stop it burning

Even though I say it myself it was bloody delicious !

When I picked the better half up at 8 pm tonight she walked in and said mmmmmm smell lovely , so I made us a cuppa tea each cut a large slice for her and a small slice for me .

She protested " I can't eat the big one you have that "

about 3 mins later her plate was clean and had disappeared into the kitchen looking for a bit more

Few sniff kisses a bit later on

Looking for a bit of close to date creme freche around 6 local shops at the mo

Hope to find some before all the cake's gone
