That'd be really nice if you'd controlled your gravy pouring hand, but I suppose you were still shaking from Dil's visit...

To be fair, Dilly didn't know what I was making.
Probably thought I was going to make him a black pudding sandwich!

^ I see fresh ones in supermarkets from time to time and judging by the non-astronomical prices, always assumed they're grown local. Don't know for sure though, and prefer the frozen ones anyway gently simmered then rolled around in a basin with salt, pepper, and a little butter.

    They taste great!

Pork bone soup is popular here in Korea, so the missus went off to the market to get some bones (cost 150 baht for 10 large ones with lots of meat), then had a go at making it:

Tasted very nice, but I wasn't very hungry, so didn't have much... Good flavour though.

Ten minutes later she comes back with 'T-Bone', basically massive pork chops with mushrooms; luverleee it was...

&, just like Nige, she added a bit of salad.
    Cycling should be banned!!!

So last night the wife was out and I went looking through the freezer what the 3 of us could have for dinner. Found 3 chicken breasts, some bacon, had butter, garlic and spices.

So I whipped up some spiced garlic butter by simply sautéing them off and refrigerating the butter mix.

Cut a pocket in the breast and spooned in the cold garlic butter.

    wrapped them in bacon

Made some thinly sliced green beans, a rice pilaf, and served them up. I ate one and a half, the kids finished off the rest, but cut them in half to serve.

    Simple but tasty.

Lamb chop, chicken thigh, lobster tail and a couple of prawns. With roast veg and a fresh watercress and stilton sauce.

I'd bring round a bottle of wine to go with that. But i bought a bottle yesterday and read the label without me specs on. I thought i was buying South African wine, it turns out to be Californian.

Haven't tasted it yet, but presume is going to be crap. Pretty label, though.

And people who poo poo screw top bottles. Remember that a few years ago wine was horrible because the corks had gone rotten. Which is why the cheaper ones, which are still drinkable, now have screw tops.

The californian one i am now looking at cost me the equivalent of 3 quid. It's called Geyser Peak!! and is a fruity little Merlot.
