    We're following Dill's latest diet.

Just lift up the plate, and slide the whole lot in.

So my oldest daughter just arrived in San Fran for her sisters wedding next weekend. So she just had to tease me in advance as she knows I love me a fresh plate of Oysters. I fly out in a few days for a 15 day US trip for my youngest daughters wedding and then some customer visits. Flying EVA so hopefully I will not get shot down by some Chinese pilot as I fly into to Taipei

Look forward to 70F temps in the day and low 50's at night.

I already called in to our local butcher shop in Napa area for a few nice aged Porter house steaks and will pick up a 15 year Whistlepig Rye.

    The world's best homemade massaman.

I'd post a photo but still gut-laughing from yesterday's repo.

It was a meat trio of dried chicken leg on the right on top of 1 slice of beef and a little chunk of pork belly with yorkie on the left, sheet of crackling at the front, all lay on top of 3 roast spuds, some foul tasting pig in blanket and some soggy veg.

The worst and most expensive Sunday dinner I've had this year

A 2kg leg of lamb cooked for 9 hours on low for 9 hours , it was delicious, 2 cups of beef stock some garlic and thyme, for the gravy you simply melt butter in a saucepan whisk in flour and 2 cups of the stock from the slow cooker a dash of cream . No complants from the shark biscuits. And to use up some leftover mashed spuds i mixed in leftover spag bol roll then into a sort of pattie dipped in egg and crumbed in panko, deep fry em. even the wife gave the thimbs up

They hate veggies except potato and enjoy spag bol.so it seemed a no brainer to use up the leftover mash spud and mince. Economical and easy

    A light early dinner.

Time do up a wee batch of baked pennette for the eatery, so we shared a test plate.

A 10/10 from both of us, and got 15 bags for the fridge tonight then deep freeze tomorrow, unless there's a family of 15 Italians that show up in the next 24 hours.

^ Be up in about an hour.

Starving, set the plates up buddy.

Only Me, Mrs Bogonelli, 3 Bogonelliettes, their 4 (Italian) mates, the mother-in-law with dad (who are half-Italian) and 2 hitch-hikers from Milan we picked up on the way.

Looks great and I am sure tastes even better,
A great variation IMO of Lasagna, or with the addition of a bechamel sauce on top Greek pastichio.
If I might suggest a good improvement to your already great dish, next time you make it , whip up a bechamel sauce with parmesan cheese and a dash of nutmeg spreaded on top and baked.
Now that I see you dish you have inspired me and reminded me that this is something I have not made in a long while.
and as "imitation being the sincerest form of flattery " dont be surprised if you see me making it soon.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
