Although had it quite often, deep fried in breadcrumbs with a side of cranberry sauce. Just dug this photo out from my library, it's a starter option at our local Korean restaurant.

Well spotted! It is indeed mozzarella (this is their on-line menu for some of their starters), though I know that I've had brie the same way before.

Couple of days ago the wife came home with some big pork ribs. Put a rub on them overnight and then cooked them up. Served with potato salad and some Cajun pinto beans. St. Louis style, made her happy.

Nice job Mike. Been a long while where I made up a dish of Scalloped taters with ham. My wife loves that dish when I make it.

My mom used to make a ham shank and fresh made scalloped taters every Easter. I sure miss those days.

It sure is. I asked the shark biscuits what they wanted for dinner tomorrow . Soft tacos was the answer. Easy . Ive already got the Mission wraps and left over chicken salsa ,beens , small can of capsicum some rice , mix it all together.= 6 each last time the big guy ate all 6 but his young bro only managed 5. As stumpy said , simple, fast. And easy

Oh yes. Some cheesy shoestring fries on the side with half a dozen hoppy leopards and it'd be the perfect Friday if there was anything decent on the box.

Dusted off the slow cooker tonight and chucked a 2 kilo Slab of beef init.

    Using this recipe tonight...
Sear the beef all over in a hot pan, and transfer to the slow cooker. Add the beef stock, red wine, tomato puree and sugar, ensuring that the beef is mostly covered by the liquid. Cook on low for 5 hours, or high for 3 hours.

At the risk of being roasted by a cheese-snob, my philistine palate can barely tell the difference between Camembert and Brie even though I love them both

Either way the culinary juxta-whatsit with the honey just did not compute for me at any level

But I did only try it once and maybe it is one of these cultured tastes that you need to grow into

What does work for me every time, and is not featured on any menu that I know of, is Brie and peanuts

This is my supper tonight (that is Triple cream Brie - not Camembert)

    Dinner-img_20230520_064115-jpg

Brie is gastronomically gob-smackingly gorgeous with a handful of peanuts and the appreciation does not need to be learned

Especially slightly under-ripe and still crumbly in the middle like this one

One hour in and no bubbling yet, chucked a few veggies in for flavour.

    The anticipation..
