I do enjoy a bit of bubble as well.
    More cabbage/sprouts but similar idea.

Stovies are left over meat and potatoes so yes, a kind of hash, heated up with a wee drop of water and gravy salt, and normally served with cold beetroot (the only vegetable on the plate), along with oat biscuits. This is the nearest that I can find to illustrate the real thing without making them myself.....

^ Whereas what we call "tayter hash" would use fresh vegetables etc?

They don't have to be left overs you know.
Only served to tourists with oatcake and there ain't no veg in that googled pic.
    Apart from beet added.

A new idea for a LoyToy pie filling?

You on the hash as well as the Colombian marching powder Hal?
You need it after watching that crock of Manure at the weekend.

Another 3 points on the board thank you very much.

You never had tayter pie? Tayter hash with a crust on top. Loy Toy's already been beaten to it.

    You might, but *we* don't.

Bubble and squeak is cold mashed (or boiled) potatoes mixed with cold (cooked) cabbage and then fried.

Haven't had bubble and squeak in years! Stovies sound really good, will have to try and make some. Already looking forward to a post-observation pizza tonight.

^The meal looks really nice green for the food but.
I hope you're not drinking that stuff in the bottle on the table if you are, a thousand reds will curse you everyday until you drink some nice beer.

Apart from the lack of veg and, as mentioned, the terrible beer.

A lot of onion and tomatoes in the curry itself, though agree a veg side dish wouldn't have been amiss.
