Ragu alla bolognese with penne. Trying to stay as close as possible to the Italian recipe. Hundreds of versions of the recipe around, of course, so whatever makes you happy...

    Four or five hours later:

    ...And this makes me happy.

    The tradional Italian recipe here:

Spaghetti bolognese: Italian chefs show world the correct way

My missus finds that a bit too bland, so we add a few 'erbs, but the main idea will see you with a sauce that shouldn't be drowning the pasta.

Someone kindly posted photos of their Beef Stroganoff a week or two back, and I've been meaning to make one since. It made a decent dinner, hadn't had one for eons. Very retro

For me, it's one of the meals Mom used to make, so it's a little like coming home.

Tough decision today - what to do with the last of the very tender and delicious tenderloin?

    How about a steak?

    OK.

Step 1. Place 3 steaks in a pan.

Step 2. Cook to perfection - about a medium/medium rare today.

Step 3. Eat one of the steaks. (Mashed potatoes, vegetables and Bisto optional. I chose the purely steak low carb option. )

Step 4. Decide what to do with the other 2 steaks.

Step 5. Decision made and appropriate action taken. Yummmmm.

Step 6. Decide what to do with the third delicious steak. I'll get back to you on that once I have checked the fridge for wholewheat bread.

    Dinner tonight.

Steak burger - without the bun and without lettuce or relish.

Yep, just a pure steak. The last one from yesterday. All gone now.

    I'm on a diet mate

^ about 300 metres down soi 2 on the right

Only 15% at that time, I was hungry

    it's 50% off around 5pm though

That was the small lunch which is 500 baht I think, the vegetarian was 400 baht and their big fukker which has two desserts and lord knows how much chicken is 800, if i remember right. Great service in there.

you can change your plates instead of doing what i did too, also they ask you if you want some more of every single item they bring you, not sure if they charge extra if you say yes.

Who goes to Soi Nana for dinner? Bailski you are a savage individual with zero scruples and even less class. Mind you - it would be fairly easy to mistake a doner kebab and some of the snatch scattered about that soi - it's all about protruding strips of meat, innit Boll, you filhty fucker...

Out on the piss tonight then, Boll?

    It is Tuesday after all...
