Well, it's that time of year when Wetherspoons start dishing up sub-standard festive tucker.

Behold - the turkey, bacon and cranberry panini. This one also had cheese in it. I'm not quite sure why it had cheese in it - but, lo, there is a large melted chunk of cheddar secreted in the depths of this sandwich.

Tomorrow I might try the turkey pie - it contains about 7 billion calories apparently.

    Panini and salad, indeed.

    Lovely plate design, though.

You'll be pleased to know that the suspected and offending ceramics have been redone/replaced and kept up to hygienic standards...

A normal person's standards or yours? How about "before" and "after" photos...

Those plates are standard Wetherspoons issue.

Recently introduced the mrs and kids to the delights of the curry house. Fortunately they love it so we go there as often as my wallet allows.

The kids will generally plump for a korma and pilau rice (topmost in the picture). The mrs isn't averse to a spicy chicken dish and in this instance went for a jalfrezi, I believe. The Slap-meister General (international culinary guru) forewent his usual balti on this occasion, and instead went for a lamb shaslik with a side of taka dal, onion bajis and a garlic naan — and, of course, the requisite brace of Kingfisher.

*Sip, sip - bang it back*

What's labeled "filthy" by manufactured Christian-Imperialist cultural standards is nothing more than a few organic residues to attract & fatten up the insects before catching them for the blender.

Don't they do "own brands" in your country?
In the UK they have named brands like Heinz baked beans and HP sauce, all the supermarkets copy them with their "own brand" similar produce at half the price.
    Not much difference in taste.
Years ago they used to be called "No frills" packaging, not disimilar to a burly truck driver loitering around the motorway service station bogs

Black pudding sounds so nice and tempting.

I like the German Nein Nonsense name, Blutwurst.
