I can take it or leave it to be honest, but it’s just an earlier step in the caviar process.

And it’s really good for you.

    Cod roe.

^ Lots of things are good for you!

    Peas included.

The wife's off to Makro today, which is just as well because we've had peas every day this week and are down to the last bag.

    A couple of highlights...

    Stuffed Thai peppers... with peas.

Korat Chef pork sausages... with peas!

Today I'm boiling up the chicken carcass from Monday's roast chicken (with peas).

    Tonight will be chicken broth...

    With peas!

These were super cheap on Lazada and I thought they'd bring back memories of 90s meals. Went out of date August 2024 but they're frozen so should be alright.

I'm typing this in the middle of eating them because it's not very fun.

Cool weather and stews just to together. Whipped this up yesterday, rustic pork stew. Turned the pile of meat and vegetables into a nice hot stew, simply served with fresh sourdough French bread.Dinner-img_20220711_093311-jpg

Yup. Have been doing a few stews in the clay slow cooker.

^ That would benefit from quartering those potatoes. :-)

No it wouldn't. Those little taters would turn to mush if quartered.

They were already new potatoes, smaller than a golf ball. The onions were pearl as well. Its why the stew is rustic. Cut in half both the potatoes and onions were bite size.

    Come il cacio sui maccheroni.

Condescending note for the monolingual, patata means potato, and is also slang for vagina.

    Ed the clever fooker.

Where do you get new potatoes in Thailand, AO? I don't think I've ever seen new potatoes on sale up this way.

You can't beat new potatoes, boiled with a sprig of mint and then slathered in butter, with a portion of peas. They go with anything.

Foodland, they are there about twice a month, lovely, so creamy when done.
