This thread is obviously in need of rescuing, so a couple of dinners from the grim backwater that is Korat, from this week.

Saturday night (I think) was baked chicken breasts with chips and... peas. I usually make a bacon and brie sauce with this meal, but we were out of bacon and brie, so Hellman's it was.

New seating arrangements owing to earthquake damaged ornaments waiting for the glue to dry.

    Not much wrong with that!

Quake damage repaired, and it was back to normal seating arrangements on Sunday night.

And there was nothing repetitive about this Snubs, because I've never had it before.

Sweet and sour pla tabtim, courtesy of the gardener!

    No peas, just rice.

And very nice it was too.

I sometimes think that I should have turned gay and married the gardener instead of the Kommandant. He gets a lot more stuff done in the garden, he's a better cook, and to be honest the sex is exactly the same.

    I’d eat any of that.

Is brie and bacon sauce really a thing?

Fair enough Mendy. I had to google sour pla tabtim. Not sure about that one but the sweat and sour I would smash!

I'm partial to a bacon, brie blackcurrant/cranberry sandwich or wrap.

^^ Pla tabtim is the pink tilapia, pla nin is the brown tilapia.

I was just showing off my knowledge of the Thai language.

It certainly was when I visited The George in West Bay on the UK Dorset coast a couple of years ago, and it looks like it still is!

To be honest I have never really mastered it, and when I try to replicate the meal my 'bacon and brie sauce' just comes out like greasy bacon fat topped with a cheesy scum.

Maybe I am safer to stick with Hellman's?

Lamb is getting quite expensive in Oz it used to be super cheap..mutton especially. Now you can't even find mutton. Enviros have put pressure on the government and the Live shipping of sheep to the middle east is now banned
( kiwi loveboats) the sheep farmers are outraged that they might now have to sell sheep to ordinary Aussies. Gasp. And might not be able to update the rangerover. Fuck em I say. Greedy kunts
Most people are Kunts.dont believe me? Next time you see a group of people. Shout out OI KUNT watch em all turn around.

Had an important meeting in town earlier so picked up this bad boy on the way back. Take it apart and reheat each bit separately, cook some chips and serve with half a dozen Leo.
