Just took out a pie to have after a gym sesh later, and acknowledge that they do look a bit naked, just sitting there on an empty plate.

I don't think baked beans are the answer, or some corn, so ordered a sack of Talley's frozen peas to be delivered from Tops. Hmmm.

One just bungs a cup of 'em into a pot of water then bung it on the stove until they're cooked, then onto the plate with a big knob o' butter and S+P?

    Scratch that.

Butter and minced garlic, sauted for 30 seconds.
Frozen peas and a table spoon of water.
    Stir until hot.

^ You take pea cooking advice from an Asian?

I simply microwave frozen peas if I'm in a rush.

Add salt, pepper and butter to taste.

If I fancy a bit of gravy, I boil up the peas and then add some Bisto granules to the water to get a healthy, vitamin-packed thick beef gravy.

Maybe take a look at this?

    Chicken pie, Lard-O.

Just look at those numbers, lad. 1 hr 46 mins, you too would be wolfing down a chicken pie..... but after waking up 3 days later in ICU.

The chicken pie and peas (pan sauteed in butter and minced garlic) were absolutely superb, Mendy might be glad to hear. If he isn't too busy taking photographs of men's pink underkaks.

I actually wanted 25% more peas. (There was a 1/4 slice of the pie left by the time the last pea went down).

    #converted.
