Frank does all of his "reporting" from a wheelchair these days, courtesy of being shot by Al Qaeda in Riyadh.

I think the BBC only keep him on because they'd look really mean if they sacked him.

Ukraine - the narrative the West doesn't hear

Think you need to read that a bit more carefully. All it is doing is laying out the reasons why some countries have not taken an anti-Russian stance. Mostly vested self interest or to spite US/the West.

Nothing in that article endorses or promotes any of those views.

I haven't heard much regarding casualty figures lately, only that Ukraine losses are severe and Russian ones colossal.

Disaster for Putin as TENTH Russian General 'killed' - Kremlin losing 'one a week'

Major General Andrei Simonov reportedly died after his command post came under artillery fire by Ukrainian forces on Saturday April 30. The bombardment also took out more than 30 Russian armoured vehicles, including tanks. Videos circulating on social media appeared to show the command post being hit by Grad rockets, fired from a multiple-launch rocket system.

A fire has broken out at a Russian defence ministry facility near to the border with Ukraine following a reported explosion, injuring one person according to a regional governor.
A huge explosion in the area of Streletskoe and Tomarovka was reported by Russian media earlier today, video footage shows plumes of smoke and fire bellowing from a building believed to be near to Belgorod.
It is currently unclear what caused the fire, and there has been no official comment from the Russian defence ministry yet.

It is thought it is an weapons depot that has caught fire, as there have been secondary explosions heard - possibly of ammunition exploding in the heat of the fire.
Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said only one resident suffered minor injuries but his his life was not in danger and that seven homes had been damaged.

Ukraine is winning the battle on Twitter, but in the real world Kiev is losing the fight for the Donbass

Claims that Ukraine is set for victory on the ground are Kiev and Washington’s wishful thinking at best

Scott Ritter is a former US Marine Corps intelligence officer and author of 'SCORPION KING: America's Suicidal Embrace of Nuclear Weapons from FDR to Trump.' He served in the Soviet Union as an inspector implementing the INF Treaty, in General Schwarzkopf’s staff during the Gulf War, and from 1991-1998 as a UN weapons inspector.

Not what the TD & Twitter faithful want to hear, but a dose of realism is overdue. Russia will certainly take Donbass, but the real question is where next?

Another interview with the Swiss NATO Strategic Intelligence Officer.

    Our Interview with Jacques Baud

    May 1, 2022

"In this penetrating interview, Jacques Baud delves into geopolitics to help us better understand what is actually taking place in the Ukraine, in that it is ultimately the larger struggle for global dominance, led by the United States, NATO and the political leaders of the West and against Russia. As always, Colonel Baud brings to bear his well-informed analysis, which is unique for its depth and gravity. We are sure that you will find this conservation informative, insightful and crucial in connecting the dots"

Ritter has a moderately successful background in the US military. His Geopolitical and economic expertise are limited by few, if any top command appointments.

His view of the current situation on the ground is militarily simplistic, and does not take into account the longer term struggles that Russians will have to contend with.

If the war were to end this week, Russia might well come out on top. The longer it drags on, the weaker Russia will become and the stronger Ukraine will get. Hence Ritter’s view is too simplistic and based on today, and not on the more likely longer term future.

As money and weapon supplies dry up for Putin, the opposition will be invigorated by western re-supply. Every day the conflict continues, Russian forces will get weaker, and the Ukraine are poised to take full advantage.

Putting Russia on the back foot will enrage Putin and the chance of provoking the use of nuclear weapons is exactly what NATO wants. That scenario would be over very quickly indeed.

It's head and shoulders above what I'm reading in MSM, which is about the level of Twitter these days. Interesting to read about the mistake that was made early in the war too, sending lightly armored & protected columns into eastern Ukraine- for which they paid a heavy price. Classic case of underestimating ones adversary.

It is propaganda garbage. In the article, he tries to claim that Russia was just using the attack on Kyiv as a feint. What a huge crock of shit. You are gullible as fuck to swallow that crap.

You're just plain dumb snub- real, real dumb. Just as they want you to be. What is the point debating you- reality is happening right there on the ground, and after a while even your MSM has to admit it. Keep waving your pom poms.
