He is deeply unpopular two years after he was re-elected over token opposition. Only 35 percent of respondents view Jindal favorably, versus 51 percent who view him unfavorably. In a hypothetical 2016 presidential matchup, respondents in our poll picked Hillary Clinton over Jindal, 44 to 42 percent.

    BM picks another winner

The latest survey bestows upon him the dubious distinctions of being the most unpopular Republican governor of any state and the second most unpopular governor overall.

Jindal has long been preparing for a possible 2016 presidential bid, but only 17 percent of Louisianans polled think he should run for the nation’s highest office, while 72 percent do not want him to do so.

Perhaps the most jarring result of PPP’s new survey is that Jindal trails Hillary Clinton in a hypothetical 2016 general election matchup by a margin of 47 percent to 40 percent in his home state.

Again, what has HRC brought to the table?

She's basically accomplished SFA and that's a fact...

Colin Powell ^ wisely does not want to wade into the political mess.

But yes, speculating on an HRC VP is interesting. A complement VP who is strong, or is lesser stature VP to act a hand-shaker and puppy dog to the dominant HRC.

As for Ted Cruz, once again, I do not see him every winning potus. He's also too green.

Too many voters receiving Entitlements, also. HRC would not touch Entitlements with a ten-foot pole.

More likely a complement VP who is strong, I think. And he has worked both the political and the military sides of the fence, so he brings a lot of experience to the game. Actually, they could make a very formidable pair, a real highlight to any of the dim bulbs the Rethugs or anybody else are likely to put up in 2016.

If she really wanted to drive them totally over the cliff she should pick Elizabeth Warren.

she should ask biden to stay on as VP.

not only is he eminently qualified, it would drive the denizens of the right wing fever swamps into conniption fits.

and he would also help lock up PA in the electoral college.

    Serious question: why?

and he would also help lock up PA in the electoral college.
PA has a lot of electoral votes (21?) but HRC would probably get past 270.

Bachmann: Republicans can beat Hillary Clinton ‘if we cry out to God’

    This is hilarious;

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) refused to concede on the idea that ex-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton could be the prohibitive favorite in the 2016 presidential race, citing the biblical story of David and Goliath in a radio interview.

“All David needed was one smooth stone to fell the giant,” Bachmann told Christian radio host Jan Markell. “It wasn’t the stone, it wasn’t David, it was the strong right arm of a holy God. And, again, I believe that it’s, in some ways, up to us — if we repent, if we cry out to God, we have no idea what the Lord God will do for us in 2016.”

Bachmann then clarified for Markell that she did not believe Republicans should focus on one person or president being “our savior,” calling for her party to find the right message and sort out how it uses technology.

“We don’t have a very good technology to win elections,” Bachmann told Markell. “All of that needs to be done. But ultimately what we need to do is focus on what our “positive, big picture message solution needs to be.”

Later in the interview, Bachmann drew a parallel between the U.S. backing Israel against a nuclear strike by Iran and her party holding firm against immigration reform, calling it “a political suicide journey” for Republicans who support a path to citizenship for the country’s 11 million or so undocumented immigrants.

“I’ve been shocked and appalled by the conservatives who have gotten on board this train of amnesty for illegal aliens,” Bachmann told Markell. “I’ve been absolutely floored.”

This is a pretty sad indictment on the state of contemporary US money politics-

Why I Am Cancelling My Documentary on Hillary Clinton

when I approached people for interviews, I discovered that nobody, and I mean nobody, was interested in helping me make this film. Not Democrats, not Republicans -- and certainly nobody who works with the Clintons, wants access to the Clintons, or dreams of a position in a Hillary Clinton administration. Not even journalists who want access, which can easily be taken away. I even sensed potential difficulty in licensing archival footage from CBN (Pat Robertson) and from Fox. After approaching well over a hundred people, only two persons who had ever dealt with Mrs. Clinton would agree to an on-camera interview, and I suspected that even they would back out.

This, of course, was the real consequence, and probably the real intent, of the announcements by the RNC, Philippe Reines, and David Brock. Neither political party wanted the film made. After painful reflection, I decided that I couldn't make a film of which I would be proud. And so I'm cancelling. (Not because of any pressure from CNN -- quite the contrary.) It's a victory for the Clintons, and for the money machines that both political parties have now become. But I don't think that it's a victory for the media, or for the American people.

Why I Am Cancelling My Documentary on Hillary Clinton | Charles Ferguson

Good article, well worth reading in full. With bilateral establishment backing like that, it is obvious Hillary ruffles no feathers to the people that count, on either side. Also that the Clinton's control a formidable & ruthless political machine. She's looking as close to a shoe-in for Potus as you can be this early. A shoe-in to be another good republican president like Obama, too.

In Arkansas, she joined the boards of Walmart and Tyson Foods. One of the largest donors to the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation is the government of Saudi Arabia. The Clintons' personal net worth now probably exceeds $200 million, and while earned legally, both the money's sources and the Clintons' public statements indicate a strong aversion to rocking boats or making powerful enemies.

It is a good article, but it does not seem unusual to me. They (Bill and Hillary) are politicians, and politics is the getting, holding and use of power.

I agree. Hillary will make a very good Republican President.

    NBC Scraps Hillary Clinton Miniseries

NBC has scrapped its controversial Hillary Clinton miniseries project.

"After reviewing and prioritizing our slate of movie/miniseries development, we've decided that we will no longer continue developing the Hillary Clinton miniseries," the network said in a statement Monday.

"As she watches the hand-to-hand political combat in Washington, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton remains above the fray and the queen of the 2016 mountain," said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.

From September 23 - 29, Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,497 registered voters with a margin of error of +/- 2.5 percentage points. Live interviewers call land lines and cell phones.

Hillary Clinton Busily Putting Out the Word that Joe Biden, Likely Rival for 2016 Nomination, Opposed the Raid that Got Bin Ladin

She offered a foreign policy attack on Joe Biden at a speech before, at the National Association of Convenience Stores no less.
No ears reported any mention of whatever 2016 ambitions Clinton might have. But state Rep. Tom Taylor, R-Dunwoody, said the former first lady dropped a huge hint. "I know she’s running for president now, because toward the end, she was asked about the Osama bin Laden raid. She took 25 minutes to answer," Taylor said. "Without turning the knife too deeply, she put it to [Vice President Joe] Biden." Time and time again, Taylor said, Clinton mentioned the vice president's opposition to the raid, while characterizing herself and Leon Panetta, then director of the Central Intelligence Agency, as the action's most fierce advocates.
Well, I guess she managed to answer the question that no one else can, What Exactly Are Hillary Clinton's Accomplishments?

Presidential material my ass. All you hard-core members of the TDMA have got to come up with at least one HRC accomplishment, huh?

Slander all you like, seems that's all the Rethuglicans are good at these days.

Let's see, off the top of my head I can think of a lot of accomplishments that would make Hillary Clinton a fine president.

She's been First Lady, kicked Rick Lazio's sorry ass to become a New York Senator, during her two terms in the Senate she sponsored 363 bills and co-sponsored well over 1000. Ran for President in 2008. Nominated Secretary of State by President Obama in 2009.

She's smart and experienced and the Executive Office is hers for the taking if she chooses to run in 2016.

London Traffic Warden Writes Hillary Clinton a Parking Ticket & The SS Gets Into A Scrap...

Laws are for the Little People, don't you know?

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton attended an event in London on Saturday. Parking her car in a bay on St. James’ Square, Clinton was required to pay the same £3.30 per hour fee that everyone else is required to pay for the privilege to park there. She did not. When the traffic warden tried to issue a parking ticket the Secret Service agents went nuts. But, waving their arms and flashing their badges didn’t impress the traffic marshal. He issued Clinton the ticket, anyway. For parking illegally. Like everyone else...
This is the extraordinary moment that Hillary Clinton’s security staff got into an argument with a traffic warden after he issued her car with a parking ticket.

The Westminster City Council warden put an £80 penalty notice on the former US secretary of state’s silver Mercedes vehicle in Central London while she was attending an event at Chatham House.

The row was caught on camera on Saturday by photographer Greg Brennan, who said five of her guards were waiting inside a Mercedes van next to her car at the time because it was raining.
She had earlier arrived in a motorcade of five cars with around 10 security agents, Mr Brennan told MailOnline. Her car was parked in a bay on St James’s Square in Mayfair, which costs £3.30 per hour.

The warden then arrived and put a ticket on the car which had transported 65-year-old Mrs Clinton to the event, prompting her security detail to jump out of the van in protest, Mr Brennan said.
The photographer claimed he saw one of the agents angrily waving his arms and flashing his badge to the warden, who remained unflustered and continued to issue the ticket to Mrs Clinton’s vehicle.

Cllr Daniel Astaire, Westminster City Council cabinet member for business, told MailOnline: ‘Despite our traffic marshal being questioned by the secret service for just doing his job, he was in the right.

‘The former US Secretary of State was parked for nearly 45 minutes without paying. I’m sure she will understand that we have to be fair to everyone, regardless of their status on the world stage.
This is a reflection of our government. Not only does Hillary Clinton believe she is above American law, she believes she is above anyone’s law. The elites of government believe laws are only for the commoners, including Obamacare.

^ Wow, the right wing blogosphere must really be running low on material if the best you can come up with is a frickin' parking ticket?!

Let's see how some classy Rethuglicans are misbehaving a little closer to home:

Offensive Anti-Hillary Clinton buttons at California GOP Convention:

It’s almost as if Republicans are trying to drive women out of their party in order to give Democrats more of an edge. It's no surprise women have been leaving the Republican party in droves. Something tells me that the GOP still hasn’t figured out why.
