It's commonly known as an owlfly (Ascalaphidae). It is like a dragonfly but has long antenna and big eyes. I have never seen one before and didn't know they existed until I I tried to identify it. Still from latest road trip to the south-eastern part of the country. Mayon Volcano pics - it's an active volcano. It erupted early this year - Jan to Feb/March. The town of Cagsawa is no more - was buried in lava in 1814. I don't know if I'll be able to make a thread (time & net issues), so will post pics here in the meantime.

Mister Big sat on one of our gate posts last night. He adopted us around 3 years ago by taking up residence in our garage. M'Sahib named him 'Big Head' (because he was thin and his head looked big........Thai logic), however when he fattened out, became Mister Big. Unlike our other 3 cats, who are pure house cats, he doesn't get to come in the house, but gets exactly the same food and vet treatments as the others. He was also neutered as he often appeared in the morning with the evidence of fighting during the night.

Cats are experts at their selective cuteness when it suits them

In fairness to 'em, they're certainly getting stuck into building elevated and underground transport systems in Bkk. Gonna really open the city up within the next 10 years or so.

Maybe they've just seen how fast the Mumbai metro is being extended at breakneck speed, and are jealous
