The whole call centre scam thing has been blown out of proportion. They actually think there are gangs roaming around kidnapping tourists.

Yes, the Chinese now regard travel to Thailand as risky. I've seen reports that over 100,000 people might be imprisoned in scam centers. A significant % might be Chinese. Thailand has a real problem here. The CCP also appears to be making international travel more difficult for its citizens.
