Pakistan keeping up their reputation as the most unpredictable team in test cricket. After almost an innings win in the first test, they are in big trouble in this one..
Pakistan 99 (all out)
South Africa 128/3 (49.0 ov)
South Africa lead by 29 runs with 7 wickets remaining in the 1st innings
not long to till the games down under
then at least the cricket will speak for itself
^ can't wait.
I think we will do well.
Why?
1. The poms are cocky
2. We are closer to having a set team than we have been for years
3. Team harmony is much better under Boof.
4. Our plans to get out the English top order worked in the last series - and will be even more effective downunder.
5. We will produce pitches to suit us
Bring it on!!
I believe the upcoming ashes will return to the tooth and nail battles we have been used to.
The present 1 day side are doing very well against the number 1 ODI side in the world and on their home wickets.
At least down under the weather is more cricket friendly and I cannot wait for the ashes series to start.
May the best side win.
well done AB
^ smith too..
Well, it's getting close now...
Here's my team...
Rogers
Warner
Watson
Clarke
Smith
Bailey
Haddin
Pattinson/starc
Siddle
Harris
Lyon
I know he has only been playing ODIs , but Bailey has earned his place in the team - the number 6 spot is the only one up for grabs really, and I still have doubts that Hughes has what it takes ..
Wisdon has named their 150th anniversary all time great XI
WG Grace (England)
Jack Hobbs (England)
Don Bradman (Australia)
Sachin Tendulkar (India)
Viv Richards (West Indies)
Gary Sobers (West Indies)
Alan Knott (England) (wkt)
Wasim Akram (Pakistan)
Shane Warne (Australia)
Malcom Marshall (West Indies)
Sydney Barnes (England)
326 partnership
bat untill lunch and see what they can get
^ And only 1 6 hit in the partnership.
Must have been a horrible day in the field for the Pakis!
looks like a pretty well balanced team
