Actually, curry is a batch for the bar's stock.

We do keep the overflow stock in a chest freezer at home though, which is handy

Our Lamb Masala, Lamb Wraps and home made Lamb Burgers are pretty damn popular as no other place will touch lamb due to market prices.

The Irish bar even removed Fish n Chips due to cost. My Mrs knows how to fillet a fish and might save a few baht there, but for the most part, we know how to price food according to cost.

You just need to get the balance right between the quality, portion size and presentation (Instagrammable) and you can justify the price from there.
    Lang may yer lum reek...

Baked chicken wings, marinaded overnight, and a simple coleslaw.

Was in the mood for a burger, so decided to check out Arno's. Was a solid burger, although quite small compared to Mongolian sized portions

But still big enough, I’d venture to suggest.

Well funny you should mention that, we dip the petal ends in Mayonnaise to eat and then smother the heart in it.

Mandy, Arno's is an excellent place .... even if you just have a burger, the smell of the steaks searing is sublime.

Had to go into town to buy some drugs so thought I'd treat myself to a gammon steak. Unfortunately it started raining so I was stuck there for at least 12 pints.

Knew I should have gone to the Robin Hood instead.

Have you ever cooked a meal from scratch, armstrong?

Not a pop at you, by the way. I would use oven chips myself in SE Asia cos I could rarely find decent potatoes.

    Nope.

^^ cooking burgers but using low fat mayo? I'm already deducting points....

There should also be mustard, preferably Colman's on that as well rather than sugary ketchup as well as pickles, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, jalapenos and a fried egg, just to enhance the flavor of the burger.

The mayo was the cheapest decent looking one in villa. I had mustard in the fridge and I agree should have added that. I put the sauce on the bottom bun and I felt it got a bit lost. Might order some burger sauce off the internet as that's what is really missing.

Those shoestring fries are absolutely on point though. I have some NZ brand that are thicker for my pork chops or chicken but those McCain's are so good for late night snacking.

I once worked with someone who had never cooked a meal in his life. He didn't like food and only ate because he had to to survive.

You just can't be arsed cooking or think of food a bit like him?

Actually I was a bit disappointed with how meaty the burgers were. I was hoping they'd be slimmer, more McDonald's like. Basically I want a 1 burger Big Mac.

Pretty much that. I don't enjoy cooking or eating. I eat until I'm full and I'm done. Just need it quick, simple and filling.

And I've always liked the 90s ready meals...

    Grew up on the fokers.

    Microchips and San Marco pizzas.

Then I really got into cooking.

Now I'm in my Food Panda phase of life.

Lunch and dinner. Delivered to me door, Indian, Italian, Mexican, Thai, Chinese (Brit Chinese, obviously), German, all made by people who do it professionally, with none of the 'Go wash the fuxin' oven pans and chopping boards Edith!/Edweena!) and none of the going out to do shopping in a supermarket pish.

That said I do have Friday ribs slow cooking in the oven for after our Friday pizza and movie. Cooking once a week is where it's at.

    Deducting points, eh ?

As an Aussie, I'll have to applaud your audacity of not including beetroot.

Start with a burnt Caesar salad.

    Dinner-whatsapp-image-2023-07-21-9-a

    Oven roasted eggplant

    Dinner-whatsapp-image-2023-607-21-9-a

Then ready for a ribeye, medium rare of course.

    Dinner-whatsapp-image-2023-07-21-9-a

    And some desserts.
