I've been off the cider for a couple of days now but this I will do.

We'll have another curry this week although I also want to introduce the daughter to UK Chinese food as well, but a curry always takes precedent.

Incidentally BC, while researching Scrumpy Jack on Google I came across this...

What are the benefits of drinking scrumpy cider?

Scrumpy can help lessen sick days. This beverage is packed with antioxidants. And these antioxidants can contribute to strengthening your immune system. Scrumpy can help you control your weight.

That is all the scientific proof I need, I approve of this message!

I do love a Chinese but I have to drink about 3ltr of water with it just stave off dehydration

Me and bloody names, I now realise I have been to Tayyabs, it was excellent. I liked the smaller sample size curry bowls, you know the traditional metal ones with two handles. I remember we got about 10 different curry's and had a spoon full of each. Very good night and restaurant.

My missus got a couple of Inch's last night (fnaar fnaar!) and I gave it a try again after seeing you mention it a few times. A bit too sweet for my liking, but the Neck Oil went down a treat (and I don't normally like IPAs).

Is this the dinner or wotz you drinking thread.

Wouldn't have minded a few of those before these.

Edith fancied a shawarma. First time getting one since moving.

    Looked dry.

    Fok was I wrong.

No need to try anywhere else, this will be the go to.

Bacon cheeseburger and hand cut fries/chips. Was in a bit of a food coma afterward.

Very much becoming a favourite, and constant present in the freezer, pulled pork, pickled carrot and mooli, bao buns and a sriracha sauce. The sauce gives that reassuring burn around the lips (mouth.....), spreading towards the cheeks, impervious to wipes with a napkin.

Stopped by an artichoke farmer and picked up some fresh ones right off the plant.

    Washed, trimmed

Fresh Garlic and green onions prepped

Fried up some small slices of bacon, add some beef bouillon, dash of pepper and drop in the artichokes

Bring to a nice medium boil and steam. typically takes 50 mins or so but you check by pulling a few leaves to test.

House smells outstanding while we watch the SF Giants play and enjoy a cocktail and wife some wine. !!!!!
