Mmmm... Pork pie

^ not too fatty and from Melton. I had to try more today and offset it with more salad, like that net zero sort of thing.

Barramundi (sea bass) in soy sauce with ginger, spring onion, peppers, garlic and sneaky wee evil chili mines that are hard to find.

Cold smoked pork chops tonight.

Pork chops like that are unknown in the PI...I do love a bone in pork chop.

Looks delicious. Keto style?

I forgot to prepare veggies so I just sautéed some shrooms in the juices. I stuck some garlic butter in with the chops.

Scoffed a scotch egg afterwards too.

Yeah I like to cook them then pop them in the freezer for 2.5 hrs before serving. Otherwise they're just too tender.

In Krung Thep, had a very nice Japanese Sashimi dinner with a cold Sake and Asahi draft.

Looks delicious, even the oysters that you're welcome to. Once bitten, twice shy, got back on the horse, never again.

Posh bastard! Cold sake and all! Looks great.

It's a shame that most Japanese places sell Asahi on draft and not Suntory because the Suntory Premium range is very good.

Asahi still beats that dreadful Thai piss hands down though.

If I'm just drinking beer, I never partake in it. But if I'm eating Japanese food it's great and they pair nicely. Kirin does as well. Maybe it's the pickled ginger that brings out the flavor.

You'd certainly expect the Japanese to have things like that sorted.
