PC after being up for 14 hours and working all day and doing housework when I get home etc , opening up a can of chilli con carne in a tin is not done for thrifts sake , its done for convenience , as and when I shortly hopefully retire I shall have time for the finer things in life like cooking from fresh

I was just teasing you!! I do have a tin of chili in my cupboard too!! For when the winter winds blow and there is alot of snow out there!! And after the heatwave we had this summer, the winter is going to be horrible according to the Swiss weather centre.

Haven't made an apple pie for years.
Thought I'd add some raisins and a bit of cinammon.

    Very tasty.

    With a bit of vanilla...

Fore rib of beef ,, I put my hand up absolute crap yorkshire puddings , but such lovely roast spuds the best I have made ,, cooked em 4 times over was the dogs dangle bits.

2 kilo of fresh fore rib on offer £10

will make many meals + sarnies over the coming week to

reduced price out of date kale 40p for the bag , out of date carrots 20p broccoli about 1/4 of a head so about 15p

Super tasty meal Jan gnawed the bone for not a lot of money followed by home made apple sponge + cream ,, apples from my garden , sponge made from Tesco everyday flour + eggs + reduced price butter from the Co=op ,, so probably no more than £1.50p , which will do 3 sets of afters for both of us .

Here's the mixed grill i knocked up today for the minions and i...

Becoming a tight wad like nigel and Dillinger now

Meat all reduced to under £3. Pork chops, sausages and chicken fillets.
Fried in olive oil with pepper.
    Raw..

    Medium..

    Well done..

Add gravy and simmer whilst preparing the veggies..

Baby potatoes dug up from our garden free, 20 pence worth of Brocolli and decided to throw the runner beans in the bin.

    Boiled with lots of butter..
