Yes. Got the crab meat at the Thai wet market and the prawns from Foodland. Had the butcher at Foodland de-vein and butterfly them for me.

Mixed up my patented crab cake recipe for the stuffing and topped with a bit of paprika/bread crumb/Parmesan cheese to add some crunch. Popped them in the oven for 20 minutes or so, garnished with bacon bits, cilantro and lemon slices.

Had this burger at the AMP Burger Shop at ABAC today.

Tell me, what can't you see? You can see a beautiful and delicious bun with great toppings...but where's the fucking meat?

The patty on the burger looked like it was a McD's hamburger. It was supposedly 150 grams, but looked to be about 80. Great in every category except the categories that involve having a real beef patty on the buns.

Hmmmm, I have a burger for you then Cssfan. Ordered a local hamburger.

they used a slice of fried beef ham.

So it was neither hamburger nor real ham in a burger.

what did I expect for a dollar?

It was over New Years, when I've got the time, I can usually knock together something nice.

I've had fried corn beef sandwiches before, with onions and a nice spicy mustard....they're quite nice.

Do your normal brisket in water stuff until it;s done, take it out cut off the fat and treat it like a ham, nice glaze, cloves or whatever, in the oven or an hour and baste regularly.

Back in the states, I could buy the brisket with a seasoning/pickling spices packet to boil up with the meat. It wasn't NYC deli quality, but it was pretty damn good.

You might even do yourself one better by baking/roasting the brisket from the start - without boiling it to death in any initial process.

He's special. He posts old pictures of Thailand, drivel and scat, thus he's a darling.

he has a point. The only good thing that comes from boiling meat is the broth it leaves behind

That can be improved too, unless you're already using beer, Willy

I know a couple of people who swear by straight ginger ale as the liquid. Nothing else, not even an onion and apparently it's divine
