Here's an improvement on last weeks slop, locally reared beef, local farm organic cauliflour & potatoes.

I think this is the best pastry I've ever made.
250 gm all purpose flour.
pinch of salt.
60 gm Anchor butter.
50 gm home rendered lard.




Macro's finest beef mince with onion.

Couldn't be arsed to mess about with veg etc. I was hungry!



Had a bit of pastry left over, so made this.



Dalfour four fruit for the filling.

Nice effort, Charley.

A decent and consistent pie dough [type] can be tricky.

Did a standing pork rib roast last night. Turned this.


Into this.

If so, where did you buy the rib on the bone?
I suppose I could go, very early, to the fresh market and get this done...

Tonight's heat-and-eat. Pie and peas with Worcestershire and a sausage roll with tomato sauce. Blood beautiful .

Steak & kidney Pukka pie, chicken kiev, mash & veg. Hit the spot

yep necron, a very nice dip was made by my fair hands, but didn't get a pic of it!

That's what I thought too. I was trying to figure out how the bill would be held by the crab.
