Tonight's dinner - a beef number (uncooked) that I like to call Steak Porntip.
(okay, not mine, the missus' dinner - do any of you lot eat this crap???)

Obligatory red sent.
What live organisms exist in un-cooked meat?
I'm sure someone will be along, very soon to tell us.
Disgusting!

Tonights dinner, a beef stew that's been in progress since about 08:00 this morning. Ingredients were:
Rib eye (local, fuck throwing imported meat into a slow cooker meal).
Flour (to thicken)
Salt
Cracked Pepper
Paprika
Bay leaves
Worcestershire
Cabernet Merlot
New potatoes
Onions
Garlic
Celery
Carrots
Water with a beef oxo cube dissolved in it.
Peas (added with 1 hour cooking time left)
A few slices of wholewheat bread and butter for mopping up.
Everything into the crock-pot for around 8hrs on low and it's done.
Really happy with the way this turned out for both tenderness and flavour, the wine makes all the difference and 2 bowls went down the hatch. Slow cooking is great, just throw everything in and forget it. The only problem is the aroma coaxing you to hook in about 6hrs too early
Very nice indeed. I do my stews on low 120 in the oven for 5 or 6 hours. Smart not using imported beef.
Looks good, love a good stew. Throw dumplings in and....
Larb dib. An Isaan staple. Eaten it a few times and my botty didn't misbehave.Originally Posted by Bettyboo

Yup with cheap Thai beef. Came out so nice, welcome home mate. To long for you in CONUS. But you had one hell of a time with family and most of all your grandson.... Cheers.
Tonight's dinner, Pla Falang (as the Missus calls it, Salmon is too hard to remember ) and some salad. Quick, simple, and borderline healthy.
Apple pie.
You'll be needing some fresh double cream with that, Marmite...
Chance would be a fine thing. Be lucky to get some custard.Originally Posted by Bettyboo

American style a la mode. Plonk some nice vanilla ice cream on or next to it. Oh that is nice. Cheers to the Mrs.
