The last trip i took back to the land of big tits and solid shits it was easter and everything was closed, my wife went into somtam (papaya salad in Laos) withdrawel and was becoming frantic, luckily we found an asian grocery store with all the bizzo to sort out a papaya salad for herself , thats about the only thing she really knows how to prepare. The facebook thing sounds a good idea as well, cheers

Shitty day today. Had to be at the hospital for 0700 as they wanted to do a gastroscopy to make sure that the burst ulcer is now healing properly etc.

So I get there and head off to ER where they assess you. Blood pressure too high... Yes, I know but seeing as its only 30 minutes after taking my meds WTF do you expect..... so had to have a lie down and around 9 all was OK.... off to the OR.

I get there and they are lovely, sweet young girls with little English but still able to explain all and to reassure and hold my hand.

Along comes the Doc and thankfully it is the guy that looked after me for 5 weeks and subsequently. Very reassured to see him. Top man actually.

there then followed some awkward moments involving the insertion of the camera down my throat. There were some involuntary noises, retches and professional dribbling but the Sony screen is showing the whole journey down my oesophagus of the Pentax camera and all the sights along the way. Doc is doing a running commentary and showing me the sights like a tour guide.

We come to the area of the stitching and he is well pleased.... all looks good and nice and pink with good blood feed.

So he decides to go a little deeper past the wound and lo and behold.... What the Fuck is this?.... It's bright yellow, looks like plastic and sure as shit shouldn't be in there. He takes a bunch of photos of it and eventually the camera is removed.

OK...Doc... what is that?.... it seems like medical debris from the operation. Someone left something in there!!!

So what are we going to do?.... come back in a month and I'll have reviewed the video and decided what it is.

Got back to Patong and indulged in a couple of beers and headed home. Then my friend K Manao put a picture of FB of what was called sausage and mash.

    Couldnt turn down the challenge...

Bollocks to that..... this is sausage and mash!!

    [/url]

Off to bed now... need to examine options tomorrow.

Barbecued ribs with baked pinto beans and cajun potato salad. Was well enjoyed. Really the meat just fell off the bone. The first time I have tried a totally dried cooked method. Added a couple of things to the rub as well.

It looks marginally better than that disgusting sausage and mash picture above. Who the hell eats beans in tomato sauce with something smothered in gravy ? It's no wonder he has ulcers. He'll be having problems with his arse soon if he continues to eat stuff like that.

Can and Davy boy hail from London.

    Says it all really.
If you have not had the pleasure of dining on overpriced offal dressed up as fine dining, stick to our own food.

Was going to ask Dillie for his 'chip' recipe but, I settled on frozen.
A chilli I prepared earlier, with some of Marmite's recipe in-put.

Veg looks good, pie looks a bit burnt and tatties look like you've just got them out of the bag and put them on the plate!

What's with the three 'pebbles' next to the fork?

Last night's dinner, organic steaks from Carrefour with the ingredients:

The finished product - garlic rosemary grilled steaks with honey lemon kale.
