Decided to branch out into more Central Asian food, so went to an Uzbek place down the road

^ oh my, what a meal that must have been!![]()

Got invited to dinner last night. It was a bit of a drive but I heard the crawfish were in season.
They didn't have plates or forks, knives or spoons. Reminded me of Laos in a weird way.

It was a first for me to try these things. I guess after a few months in Laos I figured why the hell not.
Wasn't bad actually. They bring these bad boys out in plastic bags full of spicy sauce ect. They had shrimp and crab and a side of chickens wings and so on.
They give you a bib and some gloves and expect you to make a mess.
^ Looks like crawfish ….
Salmon, green beans and sauted veggies with a balsamic reduction.....

...so, the green beans were on a separate plate then......
No pic of the assembled item, but it's some sort of a Fajita I guess you'd call it and is as close as I get to burgers lately.
Anyway here's the extras for another one tomorrow:
TBH with a little BBQ sauce and a lot of imagination they're not bad![]()

That is the healthiest meal you've ever graced this thread with...
Whose is it?![]()
^It does look good.

^^ trying to be good too
Then some fucker drowns the meal in butter
![]()

^ Frenchy's mustard?
Where did it all go wrong Jack?![]()

West of Dallas there is an SE Asian Presence. People were lining up for this stuff.
Proper Colman's .

Lining up here as well at a Mall. You wouldn't know it was America. I was a minority. Hell, even the Mexicans were outnumbered here.

^^It looks a lot yellower than the chips![]()

I think you're right. I was told of, in fact invited to go to an all day type spa. May have been the name. We went into a mall for the food. They keep rolling carts of different dishes by and you choose what you like.
I was told it was Chinese new year so they had live bands and many people done up in Korean traditional clothing.
It was kinda cool seeing thier community doing thier own thing. That's what it's all about.
Reminds me of a Willie Nelson tune. Living in the promise land.

So we ended up in this joint.![]()
