^They always taste better the day after for some reason.

Ever had an extra spicy chicken tikka wrap? had an Afghani near me before that used to it, fucking epic but you were shitting lava the next day.

Its amazing with just a couple of additional condiments, what you can turn a discounted 2.50 pizza express pizza into. Bangin

The photo really doesn't do it justice so back the fuck off Red Leader

Old man's meatballs and spuds on the meals on wheels drop from Senorita. HP sauce is the go with these meatballs

    Dinner-20240716_210512-jpg

Today's oldies had a choice of fish with sweet potato or meatballs with normal tatties so she brought me both. I will have the fish tomorrow.

    Dinner-20240717_023016-jpg

The purple tub contains fruit salad with yoghurt and.... cheese

Home made by Senorita and not from the oldies kitchen

Never heard of such a concoction before but it is curiously appetising

I thought I should garnish my fish with some kind of sauce and cracked onto the idea of a few spoons of broth dregs.

    Dinner-20240717_225757-jpg

The Nike Hercules was a crazy US inter-continental ballistic missile interceptor solution from before the days of targetted missile interception.

    Dinner-20240717_230216-jpg

Instead of targeting individual Soviet warheads it was instead fired into the atmosphere as incoming warhead swarms were detected where its W31 warhead nuclear payload would detonate taking out multiple incoming warheads in one carpet-bomb style swoop.

This MAD spoiler attempt was in service from 1959 right up to 1989

    ^ Very neatly arranged veg!

I recently had dinner on Great Yarmouth seafront and this was the view from the restaurant.

It's not the most attractive of places to be honest, but is it really necessary to stick a wind farm just off a seaside resort?

Although I did enjoy watching one of the service vessels sail past.

Sea trout topped with local crab, and very nice it was too... a bit stingy on the peas but they were there, underneath the sauce.

And afterwards a detour past the docks for a closer look. Norwegian vessels servicing UK wind farms...

And day 2... it had to be fish an' chips. They even served it on imitation newspaper for the full experience.

Again, a little stingy on the peas imho...

Yea wtf is going on with the sting pea offerings nowadays? I had the same thing when I took my old man out for lunch.

Very nice Mendy, I hope you two are having fun!

Nice Lopper, only an idiot passes up a free meal, especially if it involves meat and bringing brought to your door by a loving chocolatey senorita!

Nice touch with the newspaper on the fish dinners.

I had the very last box tonight while watching Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. I had frozen them as there was too many to get through in one run.

This was chicken in quite a tasty lemon pepper sauce with roast potatoes. Those rest-home old-folks are doing alright. I might retire there.

A very pretentious soup spoon you have there!

The likes of which I have never seen before.

Did you rob it from a knickerbocker glory ice cream cafe?

I think it's just the angle but I'm also sure it wasn't soup spoon size.

Judging by the hairs that's the mat the dog sleeps on.

Forget the A-Team, that Kin you either recommended or taught me how to download is the biz.
