Pizza and beer is always a go to, especially in the states. Good ol combo pizza and a pitcher of beer goes well. Not so much here for me now though as I do not eat it often. Pizza in general here is pretty bad. However beer with any spicy dish my wife makes is perfect. Of course I do not need any food to drink a beer. Just has to be hot outside and cold out of the fridge.

Pizza looked OK DW, at least they use red sauce and not mayonnaise BS they seem to use here.

To be fair it looked a bit strange. But it tasted pretty reasonable, decent salami, red sauce, cheese but not too much and a crunchy pizza base.

I had been planning to find a steakhouse but ended up with a pizza at this food court.

Actually I am Sicilian but..... honestly pizza isn't really a popular dish in Italy and not very much at all in Sicily. That is a heavy seafood cuisine. Most dishes enjoyed in Italian households or out at dinner are Risotta, Lasagne, Calzone along with various Pasta dishes. Don't get me wrong, Pizza cafés are all over the place. Growing up as a kid it was always Lasagne, veal scallopini on random occasions and lots of Spaghetti dishes.

Veal medallions in a dijon mustard sauce was my go-to when I was on a 7 week training school in France back on '08.

I love veal, and my most memorable meal of it was at a restaurant in Hull of all places, where I was on a Survival Refresher. Veal medallions in a Calvados and cream sauce, superb.

    You've convinced me.

Pork & Calvados & Cream also works.

    And shrooms.

Once cooked and taste tested, they'll be the guests of honor in a salad.

Little rain never stopped a grill dinner.

Ribeye, tater and bacon bits ready for the grill. wife is sheering off some corn on the cob.

Ribeye on the grill as I enjoyed a cold one

Dinner as served. Added some grated cheddar to the tater with the bacon bits.

Looks good DW. Dry aged is such a nice flavor as long as Joe 90 doesn't get his hands on it to torch it.

Tonight was Lemon Pepper chicken wings off the grill. Used lemon zest from lemons off the tree, with other spices.

Annie always sits by me when I am grilling hopping for snacks. With Chicken, she doesn't get anything, unless its tender strips or something. No chicken bones.

    Quick dinner as served.

I grew up with Australian cattle dogs and they knew how to eat chicken bone safely. Anyway, that dinner looks good. No chips or salad?

I've hit the leftover buffers on eggs again. I made one too many boiled eggs for egg mayo sandwiches and have 4 raw eggs to use up.

So I was thinking of an egg ommelette ( 3 eggs with my already boiled egg sliced in the middle) topped with a fried egg.

The difficult decision is what sauce to have.

A bin lid sized dinner tonight sent me into a food coma...

I opted for button mushrooms instead of peas, sorry Mendip!

I'm guessing 2 out of 4 of those ingredients were discounted

Interesting, how much is 1 in the Philippines? Do Filipinos call them bugs?
