Today I ate an English Muffin (I know it is an American thing.) with one egg and some cheddar cheese in it, a banana and an orange, a salad containing only Romain hearts and Caesar vinaigrette. I will eat nothing more, just drink some beer and a couple of small tastes of whiskey. Not hungry at all, either.

Breakfast like a King, Lunch like a Prince and Dine like a Pauper. For our American friends that doesn't mean Baked Beans for diner.

Its 39.7c right now. When its hot, my appetite completely disappears except for the 3 or 4 beers I will drink over the next 4 or so hours. Had a nice lunch with wife (Her Bday today). Dinner will be some fruit probably. Watermelon season kicked off.

We actually had a freak heatwave last year here and set an all-time record of 108f/42.2c, it was absolutely miserable.

Dinner for me as my Romain salad. Good enough and not a bit hungry.

I fully expect 40c + soon. Mornings aren't so cool anymore. Ground saturating storing the heat. I still stay out and about at the compound but usually close to a fan and my pool bar fridge....

That's where I would be if not sitting under an air conditioner.

But yes my eating has slowed down a lot this past year or two, I didn't think it was an age thing until you mentioned it.

If you pay attention, your body really does tell you when its hungry and needs food. Most people tend to eat out of comfort or boredom and usually way more then they need. That's how they pour on the fat. Eat far more then they burn.

Honestly we should be eating less as we age. We just do not burn and process it like we did in our 20's. I am still extremely active but I have found a nice balance where I eat when I am hungry not to a clock and burn at least what I intake and always in moderation.
